it's strugling at 6k. way too much hype right now. i saw one site post that it broke 6k even before it actually did. the spa.m posting every news site is doing right now "it broke this, new record that" is getting annoying as shxt. especially since so many of these sites have absolutely no clue what crypto is and just keep writing misleading drivel. that's how you create a fxcking bubble.

Since I got the last price prediction of Bitcoin right, I thought i'd make another...

A conservative target price would be $7,000 by the end of the year (up roughly 20% from where it is now).

An optimistic target would be $8,000 also by the end of the year - but that's highly contingent upon how a) the upcoming fork(s) pan out and b) if China does a u-turn by end of year.

Let me know what you think!

Bitcoin on the rise today... surpassing $6k.

I think it's going to continue rising to around $7k in time for the fork. Similar to the Bitcoin Gold fork earlier this month.

Price targets are meaningless for bitcoin. I'd say $15k would be a bullish price and $8k a conservative target. An impressive prediction would be a pullback from $2k to $5k.

Bitcoin is back... as expected.

I'm thinking it will do what it always does, set a new record high. The last was $7,888 USD, so I'm thinking the next will be at least $9k.

Buy, Buy, Buy!

If 2018 wasn't in the future, I'd call that a fact for two reasons.

#1. CME Group is suppose to be starting Bitcoin Futures in the next month or two.

#2. Bitcoin's block size and slow transaction times just proved to be a valuable asset in times of market manipulation. It prevented a good amount of sell orders that were based solely off panic that would have turned into losses.

Bitcoins more comparable to gold than cash, it'll have its short term up's and down's but most likely will be in a perpetual upward trend over the long term.

I think it will hit $9k (and a bit more perhaps), but will then get a price correction before proceeding to hit $10k.

Bitcoin is a great asset, but one thing the last few days have taught us is that those with deep pockets can manipulate people's way of thinking - and manipulate the market altogether.

Im a Bitcoin advocate, but to avoid ever getting stung, always buy cheap, and if you want to sell, sell it when it peaks.

Lots of good stuff coming up for Bitcoin in 2018 - It's gained a lot of traction this year.

CME Group CEO regarding Bitcoin Futures.

Get ready... This will have a impact if it goes through.

@Nate - By what margin do you think these futures will affect bitcoin?

Whilst I see potential for bitcoin to increase, I also feel these futures may attempt to tame BTC and bottleneck its potential. Just my take on it.

I know nothing of how futures work to be able to have a valid opinion on it and I haven't read anything on the subject as of yet. All I do know is the general consensus is that its a good thing. I haven't read any negative news about it.

All I can do is guess. We saw a increase when they broke the news so I can only guess we will see a greater increase when they actually launch.

Long term I have no idea and couldn't even guess what impact being able to short Bitcoin will have on Bitcoin itself. We know what impact investing has.

Just a guess on the increase... I think it will put us over 8k for-sure with the possibility of just under 10k temporarily.

I believe a lot of people really don't like to 100% think for them selves and Crypto is hard to wrap your mind around in general.. so it gives these people a chance to get involved with supposed less risk and a little smoke blown at the same time.

I'm putting myself out there just on what i'm thinking. I don't have enough knowledge to have a valid opinion other than everything I've read this is a good thing.

Just wanted to post this (updated version of the previous one posted). Can help backup my future predictions of Bitcoin in the upcoming months.

From this chart, we can gather a few points...

1. It doesn't take long for Bitcoin to reach new highs
So buy cheap whilst you can.

2. When it does peak, expect a correction of about 30%.
I've been going by 25% to date, so my predictions of lows so far haven't been that far off.

3. Bitcoin is hitting new highs EVERY SINGLE TIME, statistically speaking, I cannot see an exception why it won't happen again.
Already predicted the next high to be $9k - question is will it happen before the end of the year, or beginning of the next? either way we'll be ending the year with a bang or starting the new year with a bang!

4. When Bitcoin hits a low after a price correction, that low is still higher than the previous high (or roughly the same).
Example - the last low we experienced was $5.5k, which was higher than the last high of $5k.

All the best!

Look: BTC is a no-brainer, it will go up, only 16mil coins in circulation, there's 1% invested right now, 99% doesn't know about it.

"Bitcoin futures will inject stability into the volatile marketplace of cryptocurrency." Just got to get in before it's listed and goes to 10k.
