| | Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DJsC1ByW4AAxyYQ.jpg Here are major bitcoin price corrections over the last few years:
I feel like after the recent price correction (and drama), we are set for a new Bitcoin high... possibly $6,000 USD in the next 2 months! (which is +50% compared to its value of $4k right now).
What's your view? Realistic? |

I'm just gutted I was away when it bottomed out so couldn't buy at its lowest point. |

I'm just gutted I was away when it bottomed out so couldn't buy at its lowest point. | I missed out when it dropped to $3k. That dip was very short lived (therefore quick returns for those who did take advantage).
The secret to BTC investing is make sure your funds are READY to invest at any given time. No time for depositing funds!
Opportunities can disappear with a blink of an eye. |
| slokor | 09-19-2017 12:28 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Watch out for some more volatility before the end of October and the hard fork on November 1st - especially with several parties dropping out of the New York Agreement. |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? |
| bjammin | 09-22-2017 07:42 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I think $6k by the end of october is respectable, but the hard fork may cause it to dip again.. Maybe now is a good time to buy then maybe back out again before the hard fork hits. I cannot imagine the hard fork having anything but a negative effect on the price. |

Lot of negative press at the moment, but I think Bitcoin will see past that (long term). Quote:

hardfork? What's it doing now? | Bitcoin had one recent fork (forming Bitcoin cash).
It might have another fork, resulting in 3 different forms of Bitcoin.
I do however think the original Bitcoin will always stay strong, simply because it's been around for a while, has built its reputation, and more importantly it's proven to work.
EDIT: I think the biggest concern with BTC investments are the fact that Governments dont like them, and they retaliate very harshly (as you can see from what happened in China recently).
I wouldn't put my live savings in there. But a healthy amount of money, sure. |

Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Looks like my prediction for $6k BTC is on track. :cheer:
I'd say it'll happen within the next few weeks. |
| aspkin | 10-12-2017 03:40 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Hmm...
HMMMM..
Maybe.. |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? ooooh... There's me thinking it would take weeks and it nearly reached $6k today.
I think its going to make it. I'll cash out at $6k. This could be a good return. :) |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I think it will keep going up until after the fork, anywhere from a few days to a week. That's what happened last time. A lot of people are pulling their money out of the alts in exchange for BTC. A lot of people will also be moving their coins off the exchange to cold storage to ensure they get the new coin if the exchange didn't already confirm they are set up to support the update. The way they gave away free money, it discourages everyone from dumping BTC before the fork.
But this is only a guess. |

| icoholdercom@gmail.com | 10-13-2017 09:47 AM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Bitcoin 6k to the end of 2017. Than i think it will be stable some time and start to grow in february 2018. |

Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? 90% of the Alt-Coins are down, maybe more. This is what the beginning of this year looked like... Dec Jan, Eth was down. Everything was in a downward trend but BTC. Then over the summer Alt-Coins took off. I think the same thing will happen once things level off with bitcoin after the Hard Fork. Plus I read they did the first real-estate deal on the Eth blockchain in the Ukraine. Once company's come out with usable software built on blockchain tech for something other than tokens. sh1t will get crazy... |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I Got 2 Cards Dual Mining Eth and SIA. I need to get some 8 pin to duel 8 pin adapters before I can go any further... These Zotac's are dual 8 pin. I think I might have got a card that's DOA too. If it is that will really suck... https://image.ibb.co/crosLb/4.jpg |
| ebaystealth1974 | 10-13-2017 03:35 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I don't even have a clue what's going on there lol |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Sounds like the Bitcoin Gold fork is suppose to happen around the 25th. After that the cash should start flowing back into the alts...
I got 4 cards going now over clocked getting 32.xMh/s a piece. I'm still waiting on those PCIe 8 pin to dual 8 pin adapters so I can get these other 2 cards going. I had ordered the wrong adapters, I ordered EPS 8 pin adapters for dual CPU's. Stupid...
So today I had to order the right ones next day shipping from Amazon so I could get them before I leave on a cruise to the Bahamas on Friday. I set up team viewer on the miner so I can keep it stable while I'm gone.
I guess I got my cards at a good time, I see today they are sold out on Amazon. There is a private seller on there selling them for $100+ more than what I paid and now he only has one left when I just looked a few minutes ago. https://image.ibb.co/g2RNO6/20171017_204522.jpg |
| ebaystealth1974 | 10-17-2017 08:19 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? What's going on in that picture? I don't posses 1 ounce of knowledge regarding Bitcoin... |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? It's Claymore's mining software dual mining Ethereum and SiaCoin. Eth=Ethereum and SC=SiaCoin
nanopool.org is the pool I'm mining on.
The first Eth line has the total speed of all 4 GPU's @ 128.xxx Mh/s (mega hash per second) million hashes per second. Total shares = shares I've found in this session. Rejected = rejected shares per session. Time = amount of time of this session. The session ends when I disconnect from the pool.
The 2nd Eth line is the Mh/s of each card. Cards 0-3 = 4 cards. (GPU0, GPU1 ,GPU2, GPU3)
The SC lines are the same but for SiaCoin.
When a share is found it is in green writing and says SHARE FOUND - (GPU 3)
or which ever gpu found the share.
Then below that it will say Share accepted (172 ms) or how ever many milliseconds it took to find the share.
There isn't a found share in this picture but you can see one in the picture I posted before this one in the top lines. |
| slokor | 10-17-2017 08:43 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Its a mining rig used to mine cryptocoins.
So whats worthwhile mining these days? |
| ebaystealth1974 | 10-17-2017 08:55 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I'm gonna have to read up on this stuff. None of that makes sense to me! haha |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Its mostly about speculation. Once a company announces they built software to use with block chain tech for something other than just the tokens it produces to keep the network up things will get crazy. If I had to guess I'm pretty sure Eth will be the first.
No matter what happens the cards are a hedge. They wont devalue too much. The mother board, psu, ssd, and memory can all be re-purposed. It's not like a ASIC.
A lot of people are mining Ubiq, Solaris coin and Zcash. But according to whattomine Eth is at the top of the list. I'm just getting familiar with all this. Ask me in a few months I can guarantee I'll have a rock solid answer for you.
From what I've seen so far at current prices I should net about $15 a day with 6 cards just mining ETH. As soon as I can... I'm buying 2 more cards if the price is right.
My wife told me I better be making money from all the time I spend on the computer and not just f#@kin' off. So I made it happen. |

Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Bitcoins dropping. Think its a good idea to buy in? Between now and fork (25th) I think it will rise. |
| yotano211 | 10-18-2017 04:33 AM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? I got my mining rigs going. Had to bring back the ones in California due to power cost, had to sell some rigs, my apartments power box cant handle it all.
I got 11 rigs going at 1.3gh/s |
Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? @yotano211 What new tokens have you been mining as speculation? I keep hearing a lot of talk about Ubiq. It sounds like it has a good dev team and concept behind it with smart contracts.
Once you start building rigs it's hard to stop, I can see that. There is so much to mine but with one rig you cant mine more that two tokens at a time (unless you have a CPU with a lot of lanes and CPU mine).
With one rig it's a hard choice to make, mine something with established value and acquire fractions of a coin, or speculate on a new coin and mine hundreds of tokens a week.
I plan on keeping my rig pointed at Eth since I can dual mine and I believe Eth just might hit the $3,000 mark at some point. I'm going to build up a couple thousand SiaCoin which wont take long then start dual mining Decred. |
| ebaystealth1974 | 10-18-2017 10:09 AM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Where is it mining the "stuff" from? Are you essentially creating the money, or something?
I guess just go ahead and post me a good link that explains it all, so I won't be burdening you with tons of questions lol |

Any predictions on whats next? $7k before the end of 2017 anyone? |

The only way I see it hitting $7k is if China allow it back (rumours surfacing - if it does, then will show how resilient this currency actually is, not just in worth, but politics too).
The only other way is if the November transition goes successful. Bitcoin Cash panned out fine, so there's positive hope.
I however have cashed out at $5,900 (pre-dip). Will buy back in around $5,000 - all seems very turbulent and uncertain at the moment. |
| aspkin | 10-20-2017 12:55 PM | Re: Bitcoin Price Correction. Are we set for a new high? Same Play.
I cashed out a bit at $5900
I'll buy back in if it dips. |
