Re: Bitcoin doing great, Alts doing bad...

From all Im reading it wont stop for the next couple of weeks.
People are cashing out of Altcoins and buying into Bitcoins to get the 'free money' that comes along due to the two hard forks coming up - similar to the way it went with the Bitcoin cash fork.
The bitcoin gold hard fork is coming October 25th. The Segwit2X hard fork is coming sometime in November (I believe mid November but couldn't find a hard date on that one).
The question is will the value drop after the second hard fork. It may very well not drop after that since the uncertainty surrounding the scaling issues will have been resolved after this Hard Fork which should serve to stabilize Bitcoin and allow further development of tools that will actually utilize the untapped potential in this cryptocoin - such as the lightning network. Such application can help Bitcoin go mainstream which will further propel the value.
But who knows... its all very speculative at this point. I myself will keep on HODLing.

I understand that.

But do you expect it to reach lets say 6k?

I feel it will bounce around 5k to 6k for the next 2-4 weeks.

Bounce is keyword.

Who knows though. When I see a high point I'll sell some. When I see it low I'll load back up.

I honestly dont know.
Id like to think that it has a chance to reach $6k but like I said it is all so speculative at the moment that its anybody's guess just how high it will go.

Short term I think it will bounce around the $5,800 mark. I can't see it breaking the $6k barrier, perhaps it may spike to this value briefly and then drop back.

I've cashed out yesterday. If it drops to around $5,100 (perhaps unlikely right now), I would reinvest.

Post fork I'd think it would drop to around $5,000-$5,300 as people take their free money and run. That would be another opportunity to reinvest.

Though as slokor says, lots of speculation RE November, so need to see what happens there.

I'm still invested in a few alt coins. I highly suggest Ripple - but I am not a financial advisor :comp5:

I invested when it was less than a penny a piece so I've had some good gains on it so far. Hoping it hits $1 then will cash out 50% of what I have then will hold the rest for a few more years.

Will reinvest into BTC if it drops below $5k. I was going too last week but was super busy, forgot about it and mad at myself that I didn't.

I got in on the Electroneum ICO when it was giving out a %10 bonus. At .01 a coin I figured what the heck.
