Yes saw that yesterday.

Is NASDAQ bigger than CME? I would think so as I've heard that name a lot across the pond.

If so, I think it would give Bitcoin a huge push next year.

EBay ‘Seriously Considering’ Adding Bitcoin Payments

EBay, one of the world’s largest e-commerce platforms, is considering making the leap into cryptocurrency payments, according to a high-ranking company executive.

I very much doubt eBay would consider that until transactions fees are much lower. Bitcoin is too expensive right now as a currency. In the future sure, I can see it.

And god damnit all other coins are exploding.

I wonder if the old school going to alt-coins and new school going into bitcoin as that is what mainstream media is posting. Also, coinbase exchange very limited, however that is exchange you see everywhere.

Dont listen to Mainstream media FOMO.... This morning Fox Business News said the SCC warned that the wales were leaving bitcoin and the new investors would get caught holding the bag...

I checked the charts, no big red candles.... Then hours later BTC hit 18k.....

What I believe is happening is that the futures market slowed down the volatility of BTC. So for day traders to make the big gains they were use to they will have to switch to a different coin, most likely ETH, to fall back into.

Segwit2x fork that might have taken place today has nothing to do with the actual Segwit2x that has been discussed up to this date.

Seems to be a scam.

^^They need to be shut down from what I've read. Both companies are run by the same person. Tether is backed by nothing.

The Ripple story

6 FEBRUARY 2018 BITMEX RESEARCH

Abstract: In this piece, we briefly look over the history of Ripple and examine various disputes between the founders and partner companies, typically over control of XRP tokens. We then explore elements of the technology behind Ripple. We conclude that the apparent distributed consensus mechanism doesn’t serve a clear purpose, because the default behaviour of Rippled nodes effectively hands full control over updating the ledger to the Ripple.com server. Therefore, in our view, Ripple does not appear to share many of the potentially interesting characteristics crypto tokens like Bitcoin or Ethereum may have, at least from a technical perspective.

My apologies if this is your favorite sh1t coin...

Forbes came out with their Richest in Crypto list....

Who would have thought that the most centralized currency that cant be mined and the founders own over 60% of all the tokens would create the richest man in crypto?
