Been a slow start for the year but things can change real fast in the crypto-verse.
There are some developments planned for release this year like the lightning network that are going to be a major determining factor in how the cryptocurrency is viewed.

If you remember back to the Segwit2x fail when BCash first tried to take over Bitcoin Rhett was writing articles about how BCash was the true Bitcoin. That alone proves hes about making money, not the tech...

If you know how T and Z addresses work.... You would already know that 90% of all Zcash and Zclassic addresses are not private so what is going to be private about Bitcoin Private. Oh, I see, you have the option to use a Z address. But only if the place your sending from or to supports a Z address... Such B.S.

Its so obvious, come on, you get the same amount of Bitcoin Private if you own Bitcoin or Zclassic....

Noobs are like "what if Bitcoin Private is the true bitcoin"?

Who would think this would make people who never gave 2 sh1ts about Zclassic or never even hear of it before want to have some?

If you compare Zcash and Zclassic, Rhett did have a good philosophy about taking out the Dev tax. But as time went by Zcash had a bigger following with larger players in the space backing it up. Rhett realized his plain failed.. he couldnt get enough followers behind his project to take over Zcash. So why not copy and paste code he already has (Zcash had already taken code from BTC and added Zksnarks) and fork the two chains.

No new tech. Pump Zclassic and dump. Fork. Steal the Bitcoin name. Pump Bitcoin Private and Dump. Buy a big ass house.... a couple Lambos... repeat....

If there isnt an exchange that will give you your airdropped coins... You better be fast moving your Zclassic to an exchange to dump em' once the fork goes through. The way these exchanges work they will probably disable Zclassic deposits just before the fork and you'll be stuck holding the bags by the time they get em' back up.

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT.....

Bitcoin is now $7480 and dropping 30 Days later.

There is a little good news though, a fairly large British fund announced that it is "considering" taking a position in Bitcoin, this would be one of the first (if not THE first) funds that would actually invest in Bitcoin for their clients.

It could potentially expose Bitcoin to Billions of dollars in investments

A bit more good news is the progress on the lightning network.
Cant wait for that to be more widely adopted...

Why the recent drop? I haven't been paying attention to BTC lately.

So writing your retarded comments in one thread is not enough - you have to double post it?
Does your willingness to share your ignorance know no bounds?

I don't see this as a "Recent Drop" I see this as continued steady drop since early December. Its seems like evertime Bitcoin is on the verge of staging some kind of Rally,,it slides again to even lower levels,,,,

I am still VERY cautious about putting any money into bitcoin long term, it is tradeable, I think that buying some at below $7,000 is a smart play, it will most likely rebound to somewhere between $8,000 to $9,000, before possibly sliding down again

Maybe day or week-tradeable but hardly designed to be a longterm financial gain vehicle - even if big houses step in

Still holding strong here. I'm glad to see Bitcoin leveling out and slowing rising. :)

Re: Goal: No Sell Bitcoin 2018

Still holding here too...

But to be honest I'd rather see it go down so I can add to my positions at what I believe to be a good price. I got a limit order filled at 6.5k but I still have at least three more limit orders I'd like to see filled before we take back off.

Another at 6.5k, and one at 6k and 5.5k

I guess either way it goes it's good news to me. But I favor the bear since this is a long term position for me. I'm a BTC hodler of last resort and I'm trying to take up as much real-estate on the block chain as possible.

Specially now since every trade is a taxable event.

I'm of the same mind.
Been hodling for more than 2 years now and will keep on hodling for the next 4-5.
I'm a big believer in BTC as opposed to some others on these forums who shall remain unnamed (though everyone knows who they are lol)

What's everyone's opinion on the recent bull run? think it will peak again or is another major correction looming?

Have no idea at this number ($8800). The daily 200 day MA is around $8750 and the 100 day MA is around $9050. If we close above the 100 day I'll be more convinced we'll keep going up.

I might have a bias though since I want BTC to go back down to 5.8k so I can buy some more cheap BTC.

edit: chart added
