Well, Ethereum is completely different to Bitcoin. It serves a completely different purpose. It's use is completely different. In other words, it would be idiotic for Ethereum to get banned in any way.

Even if Ethereum did absolutely nothing with smart contracts in the business sector it would still be a rock solid investment because of the ERC-20 tokens that are built on the Ethereum Network. Everyone of them uses ETH as gas.

The Ethereum token standard (ERC20) is used for Ethereum smart contracts. Developed in 2015, ERC20 defines a common list of rules that an Ethereum token has to implement. Giving developers the ability to program how new tokens will function within the Ethereum ecosystem. This token protocol became popular with crowdfunding companies via Initial Coin Offering (ICO).

As of January 2018, there are more than 21,000 ERC20 token contracts.

Im not 100% sure on this statement.... but I think compared to the dot.com bubble.... Ethereum would be closest in comparison to the NASDAQ itself than a single stock.

Interesting approach - NASDAQ would be like a "house"/platform for stocks so yes NASDAQ will always be there in presence and the count is an "addition" of the stocks.

What you are saying - if i understand correctly - is that these cryptos work on the ethereum foundation so ethereum isn't really like the house of these....

Ether holds some advantages over bitcoin - it can be used to do more and it holds different functions like a computer. Do you think Ether will rise to say 20k like Bitcoin did?

Does Ethereum have potential to rise? Yes.

"To what figure?" - That is an awful question to ask, ever. Nobody knows the answer.

Look at recent history, everyone that predicted the price of Bitcoin by end of 2017 got it wrong, it surpassed their expectations.

It's better to read into the technology itself, and see for yourself what the potential is. Compare market cap to what's already out there, I dont think there is anything like Ethereum, so it makes it unique - so hard to compare.
