Wait for some big btc scandals such as fungibility / privacy concerns and it will take a big dip. Btc has always had the largest market cap / attention and still has many big players in it, but as time goes on I believe people will migrate to more private coins. Alt coins which were made to be 100% private / anonymous will rally (Monero). BTC is public ledger and will never be truly anonymous despite measures to do this (mixers).

I just got in to crypto a few weeks ago and reading the pros / cons for all currencies especially privacy Monero is the big dog IMO.

Example news headers which may cause BTC drop:

IRS/NSA/FBI develop software to trace btc transactions from mixers and identity users
BTC's fungibility at stake - Billions worth of BTC worthless after recent crackdown

Note: everything I say can be wrong, I am still new to crypto. The above is what I understand from what I read.

Lol!

Remember when I posted the thread in 2015 at $250ish Bitcoin and everyone said it was dead. Seems somewhat familiar now.

Look for CBOE and SEC to get together for an ETF. As well as a trading desk to get set up by Goldman or another for Cryptos to resolve the custodial risk issue.

Right now Crypto is like Marijuana where I live in California. All the small players have been doing ok because the deep pockets like Phillip Morris literally can't get involved because of Banking Laws, etc.

The Custodial Risk issue for Cryptos is being resolved slowly but surely as we speak. I have no doubt the bottom will hit before news of this sends the market in an opposite direction.

Any idea why it's going down? I haven't seen any recent news on it.

I have no intentions on selling, just wondering on the current status of things.

Most likely due to the twitter ban.
And Im not concerned with the drop in price. What Im actually keeping an eye on is the fact Bitcoin's market share has grown from 32% to about 46% - which to me is excellent news.
But of course people who are just crypto fanboys when it is convenient for them (empirestate anyone?) wouldnt even know the significance of that.
Throwing figures as buy targets and acting like a genius due to your hindsight being 20/20 are things I prefer to leave to other childish individuals who dont have two dimes to rub together - and certainly do not have any crypto holdings. I said it before ill say it again - come talk to me in 3-5 years about Bitcoin.
