I had all my money in BTC and when I saw what was happening yesterday I bought in high and it stopped going up lol ...

Just my luck.

Now i'm hoddling ETH and just wish it spikes again.

If ETH pulls off the London upgrade with 1559 and Optimism™ in July, and the Merger in Dec/Jan... ETH is going to $10k with a $1T marketcap.

For future reference, the time to rotate into ETH from BTC is any time ETH gets below 0.03 BTC. (unless we are headed into a bear market (lower lows & lower highs on high time frame charts ie daily or weekly), then just hold BTC)

Don't stress it, ETH will pump again or it might just pump all the way til the end of June. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Depending on how log it takes ETH/BTC to get to the red line, ATM 0.073 BTC is the 4 year trend resistance level, and that green 0.043 was what we needed to break to start ETH szn

I don't follow ETH too closely, but in order for the ETH upgrade to happen, the majority of miners have to signal support correct?

This upgrade should make ETH deflationary like BTC, but at the cost of reducing miner fees by 70%. Unless I'm missing something, I can't see majority miner support if they're taking a hit this big.

I get the long term value increases, but 70% reduced profit is rough. Did BTC ever have an upgrade that resulted in something like this?

If it doesn't happen, ETH will probably have a huge correction in July.. I think taking profit before the event was a wise move :thumb:

No they do not. The major mining pools already agreed to go along with update along with pretty much anyone that already has a good amount of ETH. It will all even its self out in the end financially by increasing the price of Ethereum. If the upgrade doesn't happen ETH will not be able to scale for the amount of users on the network and other projects like Pokadot, BSC, and Sol will catch up.

ETH could have a another fork like BTC/BCH did in 2017 and everyone would support it just to sell the forked coin. It could be like 2017 all over again. This would make people want to sit in ETH the day of the upgrade/chain split so they could get the dividend. So if news cycle indicates such plan accordingly.

There will be a initial shock to the network and miners will move to other coins. I would imagine ETH will dump a week or two before the update (unless there is a fork planned). Other coins will pump from miners moving and the way the distribution will change. I'm guessing minable coins like RVN, Ethereum Classic, and BEAM will pump with less sell pressure and more miners to distribute the coins between.

I'm thinking Bitcoin will pump and have a massive blow off top again somewhat like 2017 around SEP/OCT. Then if everything is working out for ETH and the merger from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake goes trough at the end of the year ETH will hit 10k and my never have a massive correction.

Asking cause I genuinely want to see it / haven't seen it / I don't know much about ETH

there are two power plants which have been converted to mine bitcoins,one said it can mine 50,the other 35 per month,but local authority is not too thrilled with what they are doing.
There is only less than 2 millions out there to be mined,it wont take long to mine them

Its starting to look more and more like Elon Musk is running a 'pump and dump' scam.
Between his tweets on Dogecoin and now this one on Bitcoin - essentially trying to 'tank' it I find it hard to believe he doesnt know EXACTLY what he is doing.
The fact he is having a massive impact on millions of people and their finances and future and doesnt seem to give a $hit about it is appalling and I certainly hope the SEC investigates him up the a$$ for this. His behaviour is shameful and (Im convinced) criminal.

Not his first run in with the SEC. I hope they investigate him and fine him 100 million this time. Apparently Tesla will no longer accept bitcoin too? How many businesses adopted bitcoin as a payment option because Tesla decided to accept bitcoin now his done a 180

Thats exactly it.
He has reversed his decision on Tesla accepting BTC for payments due to 'carbon concerns'. Not that Tesla would have made any difference to BTC directly since not that many are rich enough to afford a Tesla to begin with and even less of the rich ones would agree to pay with BTC. BUT - the fact others - both individuals and institutions - were influenced by this news is pure manipulation of the market.
Lets see what the SEC does about this.
Im just wondering if Tesla still has those BTC holdings on their balance sheet.

Deep down, everyone in crypto knew somebody like Musk getting involved would be bad for the long run, he needs to stay in his own lane ffs.

I didn't sell but know a lot of people did.

I bought in at 42.5 GBP thinking we would break the previous high of 47k GBP and go to about 50k GBP instead we dropped to 32k GBP and now sitting at around 35k GBP.

I can wait the rest of the year but want to see a return by christmas on both this and ethereum. I made money in shorts in the space of a week and half and then this happened.

That's all on coinbase.

Elon is a first class pr!ck. But my opinion about him will change if this is a strategic move to make the price of BTC go higher than ever before.

Elon Musk IS a first class prcik and my opinion of him will not change no matter what he does cause either way he will be manipulating the market.
Elon needs to just shut the f#ck up and stay occupied with his own business instead of manipulating the markets. I realy do hope the SEC invetigate him for this.

People need to hold because the value of the dollar is at risk. It will be used for exchange of goods and services in the future. There's too much social control going on now with dollar, taxation on this group but the other etc. Bitcoin should be the future of money and that's why it should be a hold, plus buying more. It's on sale now

all growth stocks have been selling off, Tesla is down 20%~ in the last couple weeks

elons timing was just coincidental, I think the market is just reacting to the inflation reports that came out last week

the market still thinks the fed is going to step in and increase interest rates to calm inflation. When they realize the fed won't do anything, gold/btc will moon hard

keep buying BTC on the dips and hold, we got a long way to go :thumb:
