Any time ETH is down 50% like it is now this is when to buy by dollar cost averaging. Not at the top when everyone is excited.
@james_112233
Your earning your stripes right now... When I earned my stripes I had invested 30k in hardware & btc... Made it all back plus profit in a couple months, then watched it all get vaporized. ETH was $1.4k and I rode it all the way down to $80. Almost everyone I talked to on this forum kept telling me to sell. But I had conviction. I had no doubt 2020 would be my year of glory. | You think ETH will hit 20-40k like BTC did in 4-5 years? |

IMHO I think the Merge will take it to 10k and the Merge to proof of stake should be sometime this year. ETH is different than BTC. The only reason why anyone would want or need to buy BTC is to preserve wealth or speculate on number go up. Also, BTC is proof of work using compute. Compute takes power and competitive hardware... So miners are incentivized to sell their BTC to buy hardware and pay for power. When ETH goes proof of stake, the equivalent of miners (node operators), will be incentivized to stake (hold) their ETH. There is no real cost to stake and run a node other than the 32 ETH you have to stake (lock into a contract so it can't be spent). Between that and EIP 1559 which burns part of the transaction fee, ETH will be more deflationary than BTC. Not only will people buy ETH to preserve wealth & speculate, they will also buy ETH to stake (mine) and people also need ETH to do things (things = MAKE MONEY) on the network... NFT's, Defi, decentralized exchanges ect, ect, ect... Making ETH Ultra Sound Money.
I made a mistake saying if ETH hits the 200 day moving average it'd be the deal of the decade. I meant to say 200 week MA which is right around $1,550 ATM. The 200 week MA has been a indicator of the bottom for BTC for multiple cycles. 200 week is brown line in pic and green line is 20 week.
Watch what happens if ETH breaks that 20 week and bounces off it as support. https://i.ibb.co/19CvX0X/Capture3.png |

@Nate, Do you mess with XRP? | No. There's so many things about it I don't agree with. I'm sure money could be made with it, but it's just not for me.
The only things I have high confidence in are BTC & ETH. |

| Futuremogul888 | 03-25-2022 10:01 AM | Re: Crypto Blowing Up Cardano is starting to catch fire. For a long time it was bogged down by lack of smart contracts and no dex. You cannot have a successful layer 1 platform without native assets and protocols, and the ability to trade them on chain.
Now there are several dexes and smart contracts are there, although not perfect. Developer activity is definitely on the rise and TVL (total value locked) is increasing. Cardano is still around number 24 in terms of TVL so not the best value for your money.
If you are looking for a little more risk but a lot more reward in the cardano ecosystem, look at Ardana (the defi hub of cardano) or the upcoming IDO of Adaswap which I think will be the biggest dex on cardano. Full disclosure: I'm an early stage investor in both of those protocols.
If you are looking for a real promising layer 1 that will give you value for your money, I'd recommend Fantom. It is number 6 in terms of TVL and a much lower market cap than cardano.
Disclaimer: None of this is to be taken as financial advice. |
Re: Crypto Blowing Up TBH I think Charles is just a show men. If Cardano ever turns into anything I'd be surprised...
Now dont get me wrong, Im not saying you can't make money on it. I mean, don't underestimate the retail investors stupidity... You can make money on dog coins and jpegs. |
| Futuremogul888 | 03-25-2022 02:54 PM | Re: Crypto Blowing Up You're not wrong about Charles but I have a slightly different take:
A prolific problem in crypto is CTOs masquerading as CEOs. They know the tech but not how to lead a working product to market as quickly as possible. They are over academic and paralized by indecision. This problem is compounded by the fact that they raise tons of money so no urgency.
I'm not an investor in cardano but it will do well in the this coming bull market. It will have a working product that will gain traction. It should have been ready by 2020 at the latest. It has been slow developing but you can't compare it to memecoins. |

Re: Crypto Blowing Up Id say ETH 1st BTC 2nd....
You have to take total marketcap into account.
BTC = $845,975,775,919
ETH = $377,118,209,625
It'd take almost $900B to double the price of BTC |
