By all means, comment away. I was just curious and must have either missed or forgotten the post where you made it known that you aren't holding BTC.


Diversification is definitely the key. You might as well put a couple hundred in crypto.

I have those bars,they sold well back when silver was reaching $78/troy ounce,then it fell to $58.
I have a few left,just sold 3 this morning !
I dont know,may be Trump is making everyone very uneasy,he wants to punish those countries which have surplus with us if Fed does not lower rate?
Of course,he still want to bomb the hell out of IRAN wiping out 1000 years of history.
He will name the lake in Michigan,lake of America instead of Ontario,he wants to take over Greenland,he wont mind being the president of Venezuela.
The French and Dutch want their gold back,some African countries already have their gold returned ,we should all keep our gold and silver in cookie jars instead of bank deposits as he could seize them

I do,silver ware,silver jewelry and silver bars.
Go to Ebay,everyone and his brother are selling-most bars are being sold by professional siver dealers,APMEX is the largest US precious metal dealer in the country,they also sell on WMT.COM

YES,I bought them in early 2000 when silver was cheaper?
There are less silver mining companies these days as silver price is too low,they switch to mine gold,but the problem with silver is that mining activities may be scarce but there are plenty of silver out there to be scapped-silver plate,silver bowl,silver candleholders,silver chains,they can all be scraped and refine into silver bars.

I was just wondering how a person with no precious metal selling experience was able to move multiple silver bars so quickly online. You're probably going to get scammed, if you aren't lying.



Or did you go sell them in person somewhere?

You sell them on Ebay,you have to sell them less than the precious metal dealers who also sell on Ebay.
I would not sell gold on Ebay as Ebay takes a cut, MP take a cut,buyer can be a pain in your know where,gold is gold,sell it outside Ebay ,any retail store will buy from you,some online which has its own refinery,they pay you cash/

I think you should have sat on them for a while longer. Silver was just over $100/oz for the first time ever a few months ago. It's a really bad time to sell.

With gold,you can walk into a coin dealer shop or jewelry shop,coin dealer does not care about brand name or design,they will quote you scrap price ,with jewelry store,they may give you a little more,of course there is also the pawn shop.
Silver is diferent,some shops just ran out of money buying silver from walkin customers when silver touch $78/ounce,they dont want anymore silver.

APMEX is the largest precious metal dealer based in OK,they have a guy who resolve issues ,they seem to have some insight in how USPS handles shipments,once I heard that precious metal dealers will ship USPS priority box but their priority is not like ours,USPS will store them in a special part of their warehouse guarded by USPS secuirty guard along with other sensitive mail eg bearer bonds

NO,pawn shop will give you peanuts
Instead of asking me all these questions,find a piece of gold or silver bar and try selling them,you will learn quickly how it works,sell on Ebay is the fastest way to learn,if it is over a certain amount,you need signature confirmation .

I'm not looking to sell precious metals, lol. The silver I have has been (by far) my best investment over the last 2 years - I'll be sitting on it for the time being.

I was just trying to press you on what you said because you weren't making any sense. You said you sold silver bars this morning and was wondering what the buyers know that you don't, which obviously wasn't true. It's like you talk in newspaper headlines or something but never actually mean what you're saying.

No hard feelings though. It's probably still a good time to invest in a diverse portfolio of crypto's but I don't think it's a good time at all to get into silver.

Which part does not make sense?
I have listed silver bars for sale on Ebay,this morning 2 buyers bought.
These listings have been on Ebay for sometime,so I just wonder if there are news on silver which prompt them to buy.

That's the first time you've said you sold them on eBay but it's no big deal. :) Looking at the 3 month chart or even the 9 month chart, I'm not sure why anyone would want to buy in right now. Never be one of those people who buys an asset on its way up.

Thats what most people do,buy the news.
Someone once said if you revise your Ebay listing,it becomes more 'noticeable' to Ebay buyers?
I revised the listing the day before,I lowered the price,so someone must have found the listing.
You can try it,you dont have to revise anything,just keep everything the same or alter some description,and see if it makes sense?
BTW,there is no news on silver recently,the peak was $78,then down to $58 and now back to $68/ounce
