I track Bitcoin trying to understand why it moves up or down, now I give up trying .
Now they are trashing gold but Bitcoin is up?

murdered provided a relevant aspect of crypto - i don't compare the 2 - each market has its own nuance and can be dealt with accordingly...comparing the 2 is not worth doing especially trying to form a correlation...

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

any crypto can be seized if security is not taken seriously

but if someone really want to hide it they can do it without problems , for example they can use trezor with two passwords - one to seed account and one to hidden account. the former would hold limited amounts of money ready to be seized , the latter all the rest which would not be visible to anybody even if they extort the seed phrase or break into the device and obtain the seed phrase they would not be able to access the hidden accounts and would not even know they exist

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

China is willing to talk and the US markets rallied.
But no firework in Cryptos and Gold?
China has been liquidating its US treasury holdings, plus other US obigations.
Japan threatens to withdraw from US treasury weekly auctions.
Both Japan and China are big buyers in our weekly auctions.
If so,then watch gold to reach higher and higher as central banks continue to add gold to their reserves.
At the same time, our Treasury would have to entice buyers by raising its interest rate higher and higher ,you figure the rest !

Have you checked out the weekly auctions agent? Any link to share?

You found gold in your backyard? That's pretty wild. So you ended up selling it?

The weekly auction results can be found in next day Wall Street Journal/
US Treasury has a website called Treasury Direct where you can ask them to invest your money ,choose the type (bills, notes, bonds) and date the auction takes place, you need to add a bank account.
Interest earned will be deposited into your bank account, principal is up to you,you can specify how many times you want it to be reinvested.
Say,you are going on an Arctic exploration or African safari, you can leave your money there,if you cant trust Uncle Sam,who can you trust ?
I dont know how it works for non US citizen or non US bank?
You can go to its site and find out more.

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

Doesn't work for non US citizen as a personal method of purchase - but workaround can be done with EIN/TIN

Yes, because it's not tangible like Gold & Silver. At least these two have a 1,000 yr track record. If another cryptocurrency mysteriously appears and takes off it'll destroy Bitcoin, and you will lose funds, or if the internet crashes you're done. With Gold/Silver you can pass it down to the next generation, can sell it immediately during emergencies and get funds right away. If the dollar ever collapses good luck buying bread with bitcoin.

well well well.... If it isn't BlackLion praising Gold and Silver in 2017

Rock on - not worth worrying about the past, focus on present and future :thumb:

In terms of crypto, I'm just sticking to BTC - not all my holdings are in crypto thankfully.

BTC will not be able to repeat such a rally anymore. although even with that rally there were only a few people who really managed to profit in full as most were taking profits fearing price collapse

right now LTC would be a better option , if you buy now at 55 you can easily make 100%-200% middle term and that without any bull market

the cap is too high , people who want to see BTC at a million will be disappointed , BTC = 1 million = 20 trillion dollar cap

realistically I do not expect the cap to rise higher than a few trillion , 20 is way too much

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts?

xrp may continue rising but I personally would prefer LTC/ETH/BNB/SOL/TRX instead because they are more stable and are not mere payment instruments , apart from LTC but LTC is a battle tested btc-style crypto with massive community support and total decentralization

that is why I would just take a basket of BTC/LTC/ETH/BNB/SOL/TRX plus I would add BCH to it as it is likely to be pumped up by capital flowing out of BTC , I would expect it to rise to 5%-10%+ of the BTC cap

Interesting seeing how many different entry points people have into crypto here. Some come in through trading, others through tech curiosity, and a lot just through word of mouth during hype cycles. What usually separates the ones who stay from the ones who fade out is how quickly they move from speculation to understanding the bigger picture.

From what I see working around Web3 launches and market narratives, projects and ecosystems that communicate clearly and consistently tend to build stronger communities over time. People stick around when they understand the “why” behind a project, not just the price action.

Early enthusiasm is great, but long-term conviction usually comes from transparency, education, and how well a project keeps its narrative alive as the market evolves.

Are you trading crypto btw? I don't have the time to do that or the constant risk exposure
