Eh.. well there is ON site SEO and OFF site SEO.
ON Site SEO: This is where you have proper titles (keywords in title), unique content, usage of H1 tags, images with titles, proper linking structure and so forth. It's not a big deal. Since you are using a WordPress based website, I suggest an SEO plugin and going through that to better SEO your website. I suggest: Yoast SEO plugin
This will help your website a little, maybe give it a small boost in the search engines.
Off Site SEO: This is about increasing high quality links to your website pages (home page and product pages). The more high quality links you have for your website compared to your competition in the search engines usually the higher you will rank. There are other factors in play such as website history, your competition, quality of links, etc. You can try to outsource this but be careful who you go with as a provider because Google has been cracking down on low quality links..
