Pay via CC.

After not hearing from my supplier for a month, I disputed my charge, assuming I wasn't getting my stuff. CC company reimbursed me.

Well, I got my stuff, a month later.

That email I sent to my supplier yesterday, no reply. I wish I had another way to get a hold of him. He's still the best for what I sell.

Again I will say this, get their qq number. Even if their website, store whatnot will go down, they will always use qq for customers.
QQ is a chinese messenger software (among other things) just like MSN in the us.

Said supplier is back and emails me every F'n day now, lol.

He is bent that I went off on him for going MIA and pulled payment. I did shoot him his payment back since I did get the goods, but he now knows that I am capable of getting my money back if he pisses me off so now he's a bit more behaved, lol.

He shouldn't be mad. No successful business operates like that. He's lucky he's behind a computer. You can get killed in real life for pulling the same bullsh!t.

I'd still start collecting information on other future business partners.

he still has the best prices and the best turn around times for what I do, so I'm not ousting him. Not yet at least.

My good supplier went MIA, He finally came back after the holiday... and he was gone all of january which scared me, his prices were higher than a new supplier i use, but he took good care of me and was honestly... very friendly and very honest. Now he's very secluded,, not sure that's a good word.he never comes on messenger and i gotta track him down to just talk. when i ask quyestions on where he was, he just says china holiday..But... he was gone ALL OF JANUARY.. Maybe his internet was down i dunno. He always provided me with great service. I am debating paying a buck or 2 more just to get back on his side again, it's been a 2 year partnership that's made me a lot of money before i found this other supplier who is 50$ or so cheaper per order. But he's not as nice as my friend. *sigh*

He could have had personal problems he does not wish to discuss. The fact is, you will never know for sure what happened. Given your 2 year history, it would not be unreasonable to place an order with him to see how it goes, as long as you can afford to lose the money if it comes to that.

But don't mistake this guy for a friend. He is a supplier. You ordered goods from him and paid him. You don't owe him anything - you are not obligated to order from him again if you are not comfortable with it.

I'm not trying to be heartless here, but business is business. The quickest way to go broke it to start mistaking business associates for friends.

This is very well put. If you expect to get rich in business, you better retain this mindset permanently or you are destined to fail.

Last two shipments I got I bought them through another supplier because my original supplier is just acting too goofy. New supplier costs $3 more per unit, but it's worth it because I can talk to him whenever as he/she is very easy to get a hold of via email or live chat.

To me, it's worth the extra $$$ to pay for piece of mind.
