Default How realistic is this?

How realistic is it to make enough income selling on eBay to replace a job? It seems like it's just too risky. eBay and PayPal are too unpredictable and can easily suspend your account at a moment's notice making everything you've worked for useless. I've heard alot of horror stories, but I'm curious as to what everyone else's opinion is.

Thanks.

Yeah, that makes alot of sense. I've been looking into getting started on eBay, with an ultimate end goal of possibly quitting my job sometime in the not too distant future if everything goes well of course.

eBay/Paypal & Amazon have been my sole means of income for the last 6 years.
My house is paid off.
My 1st car is paid off.
My BMW is paid off.
My Harley is paid off.
And I take great vacations every year.

So it is possible if you know how to play the game.

That's great to hear! It's really inspiring to know that this is an attainable goal and not just a pipe dream. The hardest part for me anyways is trying to get over that first mountain, trying to find products that sell that aren't saturated and can make a decent profit.

I am curious as to what the "game" is that needs to be played in order to be successful in this business!

Yeah, that's what I keep hearing. Having multiple stealth accounts is good to have when your making alot of money already and need to spread it out over several accounts. I'm just interested in trying to get me feet wet first. But I was curious to what the potential is for selling on eBay due to all the horror stories I've heard/read on these forums and abroad.

Selling online for myself started as a hobby and became a six figure job on top of my full time job. With selling online I have:

- Paid for every car in cash
- Paid for my house in cash
- Paid off all college loans
- Paid off wedding
- Paid off parents home
- Paid off all various debts

The best part is able to live worry free financially, and able to put away money for family future needs.

I quit my full time job some time ago. The only job I do now is my old job with my old boss at some investment bank.

I am paying off my student loans and saving for a house right now. Within 5 months my entire students loans will be pay off.

Sounds like a worry free lifestyle, six figures? That's really incredible!

Student loans are such a headache. They always take a huge bite of anyone's budget. I put no less than 25% of monthly profits into those loans. I want them gone today.

I dont go out or eat out to save enough money. I am really pushing it this year for the holidays.

I wouldn't quit your job to start off with.

Try it out first and sell while you still are employed and see if it is something you can do and manage without the secure income.

depends what you are selling, you have to start with one niche and know it like the back of your hand, once you are successful move on and expand, or expand within that niche

I started in 2010 with only a few hundred dollars. Since then I turned that in 1000s. Bought a car, and buying my house next year
