DH Gate: no refund
 
Ok so I bought a dress through DHGate on March 19. I got the dress and tried to try it on and it was horribl made, the two parts were two different sizes (not to mention the ad didnt say it was two parts) anyway I started the return process on April 29. On May 15 a return aggreement was reached, on May 23 I sent the pic of the return package per their request, on June 10 I received a message that said I would receive my refund in 2 weeks, on july 1 I receive a message saying the refund was complete and I'll see my money in 10-15 days, on july 19 still no refund so I sent them a message, they said it must be the credit card companies issue (I used paypal ). On july 23 I sent them a message saying no it wasnt the credit card companies problem and that I paid by paypal. On july 24 they said the 10-15 days wasn't up yet and wait till after july 29. Well I still have no refund so I sent them an email today saying that. Now what can I do? I feel like I'm going to get an email back saying to just wait another 10-15 days because they looked and its coming.

Can you file with PP as item not as described? I'm not too familiar with paypal's procedures for non ebay items?

You could file with PP as item not as described and paypal will look into it .

Anway buying a dress from oversea is not a smart idea,it is not a standard item like apple iphone 5 that you could know it fit for you or not before you buy.

Did you pay with credit card via paypal or with funds in your paypal account.

Important to know that.

Buying sight unseen, overseas, on a wholesalers portal for a singular sale?

I would expect your refund would be on the bottom of the merchants to do list.

Also PayPal cannot be used through DHgate to my knowledge.

And if you did use PayPal for payment - wouldn't a dispute through PayPal be more effective?

Are you dealing with DHGate or with the SELLER on DHGate?

Many times, DHGate sellers will try to delay you in order to "run out the clock" on filing with DHGate for a refund.

If you have not opened a dispute with DHGate itself, I would do so immediately.

With DHgate the money is not released to the seller until buyer completes said transaction and is happy.

I would have just kicked up a storm with the selling agent demanding full refund etc, threats with going further through DHgate dispute system and most of all FB.

These agents are much like eBay sellers.. so FB and disputes are not desired.

Though OP should read through the sometimes confusing T and C's any decent agent would have on is sale ad regarding refund/returns etc.

Ive found with DHgate/Aliexpress the shinier your seller REP is - the heavier your requests and demands hit.

They are majority wholesale website and aim to keep high spenders happy and non spenders could get pushed aside.
