Wholesale?

Thought I'd ask this question that everyone likes to ask, where do you get wholesale? I found plenty of websites but they are out of my price range. Where do someone with only a few hundred dollars to invest start. What seems to be very profitable on ebay is cell phone chargers and batteries.

I have quite an extensive list, but I doubt anyone would give up their nest egg. Some for now are

GlobalSourcesDirect.com
SmallVolume.com
Salehoo.com

I have a ton more but theyre a little more special than public posts ;)

JamesYaBaoy 10-20-2008 11:10 PM

I have tons of suppliers..I wont GIVE you my suppliers but I can point you in the right direction..

JohnnyBoy 10-21-2008 07:19 AM

Anythings helpful, by all means, pm me if you dont want to post public. I'm willing to pay for a supplier, after paypal takes the limit off my account. Whats the best stuff to sell,I always go straight for the electronics, might need to rethink that approach.

Caseyjr86 10-21-2008 10:43 AM

Hey, does salehoo actually have a good list? I've bought some lists before alll sucked ass, so I rely on my own diligence now.

aking 10-21-2008 10:54 AM

i wasnt impressed with salehoo personally.

mantisinc 10-21-2008 01:18 PM

Try and find me one good salehoo review... it's pretty hard.

Le Chiffre 10-22-2008 03:26 PM

Electronics are a bad area to sell if youre selling legit products. Theres a VERY low profit range and a ton of competition. Unless youre selling VERO.

Neither was I. Thats why Im making it public information. The goods cost :)

JohnnyBoy 10-23-2008 02:42 PM

Thanks for the advice and links. I'm always looking for high end electronics to sell, but ur right, they are very low profit and alot of competition. I'm starting to look at smaller items like assesories.

mantisinc 05-25-2009 12:04 PM

DHgate.com is good for unbranded stuff.

Burning 05-26-2009 03:07 PM

Dhgate sucks, they have low quality stuff and sometimes people don't even send you the right item most of the time. I suggest going to alibaba and finding a supplier who accepts paypal.

jamesmct 05-31-2009 07:34 AM

I tried and failed with both DHgate and Alibaba, I ending up finding one burried deep in thewholesaleforums.co.uk and recently a user went of the business so he posted up his entire list of suppliers.

mantisinc 06-02-2009 04:36 AM

Yozalo, clearly you haven't utilized dhgate to it's full potential.

I've bought tens of thousands of pounds worth of stuff off DHGate, and only ever had problems with a select couple (which is to be expected).

I find it much more reliable that Alibaba, not to mention the escrow payment holds.

JohnnyBoy 06-02-2009 11:21 AM

I get all my merchandise off dhgate. Its a very tedious process of asking ALOT of questions to make sure know what ur getting. I found one good supplier and have been using him for 6 months without any problems. Of the ⊗⊗⊗⊗s, some are of very low quality. You can expect to loose 10% of your stock due it falling apart during inspection.

But if you are savvy, its a can be a good source.

drosenseo 06-02-2009 06:33 PM

i just wanted to chime in here...

i too have had bad luck with dhgate, the sellers delay and delay in shipping, and if they do ship the times i tried them they send the wrong product or half of the quantity ordered.

just my 2 cents

i fid that finding suppliers is the hardest part of the process.

GreenBean 06-02-2009 07:08 PM

^^^Amen. Finding a good supplier is difficult. Takes hard work.:peace:

philly387 06-02-2009 08:22 PM

Just always remember...the hard work pays off whether it be you gained tons of knowledge or $$$

Lyda 06-03-2009 06:26 AM

The best, quality goods suppliers are not necessarily all in China....;)

Burning 06-03-2009 02:13 PM

Yes, it is hard trying to find a supplier. Still looking for an iphone supplier.

boxseed 06-03-2009 02:47 PM

alibaba is the best thats all i use
