Default Scamming Attempt??

Okay so I listed my ps4 slim on ebay, it was sold around 1 pm on the 27th, i was asleep,
i just now woke up, and was excited that it sold so quickly and then ebay shows the item was sold, and payment completed

So I check My paypal, no money, not even being withheld for 21 days like it usually is
so im like uhh? wtf?

but the the transaction for the 280 is still there but it says its "held" i click it, it says the buyer has opend up a disupte in ebay over the item, so i click the link and get redirected to ebay, and there are no disuptes opened,

so what do I do now?

Call paypal about it. It could be a glitch, or it could be Paypal/ebay believing the purchase was fraudulent.

the money is not in my pp account, underneathe the transaction it just says "held"

no money actually being withheld in my pp account

in the resolution center it says,
"unauthroized claim"

The buyer has filed a claim stating this transaction was made without the account holder’s knowledge or consent or transacted in error. Please click Resolve Claim Now to view your options to resolve this issue and how to provide relevant information that will help in PayPal’s investigation. We must receive your response by 7 calendar days from case creation in order to include your input in our investigation.

It gave me 3 options,

Provide Shipping Information.

I have not shipped the item and I will refund the payment.

I have refunded the payment for this transaction.

I dont have the money to refund because it is "held" , it is not in my withheld balance,

I removed your screen shot since it showed info that could identify your account.

Showed:

1) Name of the buyer

2) Time of the transaction

3) Amount of the transaction

4) Amount in the PP account

But I guess if you don't care about your account, I can put it back up.

Anyway, it seems your buyer used stolen PayPal, so just wait for the transaction to finish, and relist your item.

Looks like you are right.

I message the the user who purchased it on ebay,

he first replied with "Yes the item is paid for please send the item right away"

and then later on he replied with "I dont know who made this payment, that is not even my shipping adress, please report them for fraud immediality"

so, my question now to be 100% sure,
is there a possibility that the buyer could claim and put my account into negative?
because on paypal, when trying to get rid of the claim, it only gives me 3 option,

To provide proof of refund,
To give refund
and to provide shipping adress

I cant not give a refund because the money isnt in my paypal account, it isnt even in the "held balance" , it just says held on the transaction, so there is no way for me to refund it and clear the claim, im afraid this might come back to bite me somehow?

Call them up and explain everything in person. There will be less chance of a miscommunication and you can get it resolved quicker doing it over the phone.

You account should be fine as you did not do anything bad.

If you dont want to call them, issue a full refund and it will be sorted.
Relist item and helpfully a proper buyer will buy it.

These types of scammers are always on ebay, the way you can tell is when they want you to ship immediately.

Sometimes when a buyer pays me a held for 24 hours or 48 hours notice from paypal gets sent to me and then the payment is cleared and shows up in my account, these kinds of holds are harmless, just standard procedure sometimes.
