Default Is the $9 Tracfone Dead?

At least in store. Haven't purchased tracfones in about 5 months so I have been surprised to see the cheapest tracfone at Walmart to be $29 and my other spot Family Dollar hasn't had them for a while. Just $9.99 sim kits is what I see. Did I miss something or is stock just limited due to holidays?

It might be. They have been sending me stuff for months about their network upgrading so old phones no longer work. To be honest I run mostly 20k/200 item stealth accounts so I am shutting them off. Tired of paying for Tracfone. Will likely get some Google more google voice numbers if they ever even ask.

In my opinion you do need a phone for new stealth accounts. But once you are a year or so in its a waste of money. I am done with it. I spent 5 years paying for phones I never use. I know people will say ohh you can't use Google Voice. If you got accounts 2-5 years old with 500-1000 feedback and good metrics they don't care. Just resolve and problems that come up. You can replace the number later.

I slowed buying them when the free minutes went away thinking I could always get them where I live. But now I need to stock up next time they hit stores since even without minutes included it's still one of if not he best option for me when it comes to account creation.
I let them go after first month. Only keeping phones active on active accounts. I have been able to get the original number back even after a few months has passed on a few occasions.

I can still get it done for $19.99 opposed to $29 but, going out to my local Walmart or Family Dollar and grabbing a few seems to be a lot harder to do.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you use this for established accounts of for new ones? Just curious?

Because in my opinion as I have stated previously the phone number is for new accounts. You can get away with other things if it is established over several years.
