Default Pay pal dead. Can I replace it??

Hi there

I have hit the £1900 problem and pay pal want us to "part ways". This pp account is linked to 2 decent E bay accounts that I want to keep trading. Is it okay for me to just replace the dead pp with another one that I have?

Anyone done this or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

NONONONONONO...NO

did i say no?

This will 100% not work long term. the ebay accounts are as good as dead as the paypal is if you've had the parting ways message.

If you try to attach a different paypal to the ebay accounts that one will suffer the same fate.

What is the problem...the £1900 limit? or the parting ways? Or do they both just happen to have come at the same time?

Experience has shown that once you reach this stage you have two choices

1) You can chase your tail trying to make new accounts and save the Ebay accounts - this usually results in temper tantrums, screaming, tears and utter dejection,

2) You can set up new accounts and start again - this usually results in sadness at having lost what you had, happiness when you realise the potential and profit once you get trading again.

It's up to you really

Good luck with it

If you replace the dead pp with another, you can expect the same result with the other. THAT IS: Permanent limitation with 180 days of waiting for funds. If you can stand always having your money held, go for it. If not...stealth is the answer.

Imake$ and GTran have spoken well for the UKers as usual.

The parting ways email is probably not to do with the £1900 limit, unless your documents were rejected. What's the deal here?

Hi

I received message saying I was near to the 1900, so I sent in the 2 doc's they wanted. They must have given them more than a single glance (as I usually get away with this) and so now want to part ways.

It seems from the answers above (thanks!) that it would be a bad idea to use a new stealth pp account into existing eb auctions as a means of payment.

I will therefore use stealth pp with 2 new stealth eb accounts instead.

Personally I would do 1+1 rather than 1+2 but hey - they're your accounts

Good luck with it
