Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I have to say the last 8 moths have been great overall, despite the metric changes , my accounts are top rated or projected TRS or Above Status

I definitely think things have been smoother because I have focused more on growing and keeping that at a constant rate.

The more I spread sales out, the more easy things become, if you sell 100 items on 1 account , than especially with the new system getting a few defects is definitely possible and almost will happen

But if you spread them 100 over 50 accounts than, your defects will be down on all accounts, and when u look like a really small seller , eBay is not on top of you as much, competitors are not concerned and just crazy jealous people or buyers don't pay much attention, when you seem small your not as noticed

Why not have multiple accounts?

Why not have backups?

Have you been reading the news lately?

Ebay banned
15,000 accounts in December
12,000 accounts in January
8,000 in February.

You might be next and for no reason at all.

And having 100s of accounts building and growing is not only smart business buy being prepared is one of the best moved you need to make.

I have my original 1995 accounts, ebay suspended me because my husband sent a nasty message to someone who pulled a bait switch. I did nothing wrong at all. I got the account back and do tons of business on it.

BUT-- ebay wont take away my income ever again because I have 500 of my own accounts and they would have to take ebay to another level to ever stop me from making money again.

I have not lost an account of my own going on 4 years now and dont plan to lose any more.

And if I can help one person slap ebay around for taking them down wrongfully I will help them.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I've had many accounts last more than a year. Infact I've only ever had paypal limitations, ebay accounts seem to be rock solid even after loosing paypal accounts to chargebacks. Although I was never that high volume seller. And never received much negative feedback lol.

Is this even still possible in todays ebay world? lol

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

just withdraw regularly and have back-ups...If I sell a high value item, I withdraw before I send, even if it means delaying posting a bit ...

nowadays it is really rare for me to lose an account...havent for years....the goods you sell make all the difference, high risk/vero and you will be on the merry-go-round constantly....

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I have 5 accounts running right now, I have had over 20 accounts in rotation and sometimes they get suspended for no apparent reason but the 5 I have running have been going strong for awhile (knock on wood) but I need to not be lazy and make some back up accounts, If any of them got suspended I'd kick myself for not having backups.

Since implementing stealth, many accounts have gone unmolested for close to 5 years at the most :) on my end

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

Looking at the polls, it makes a lot of sense why there are so many account suspensions. Its not linking its mainly one thing; VERO VERO VERO... This is my rule of thumb... Never sell VERO unless you want a short term account. The only time my accounts has been suspended was for selling VERO nothing else. If your account gets shut down for VERO do not open another account and sell the same thing, you will be shut down within days. Just my 2 cents. Carry on...

Don't worry, no one buys or sells anything. I call it a stale market.

Set up 1 stealth and another in pipe line. I really struggled to sort change my IP address with my modem, what I am doing is seperate accounts on my computer, then only logging in by pairing my iPhone as the ip can be changed easily- senior members opinion here would be good

Other thing, does anyone do well on other sites? I do well on gumtree. Would love it if another site could/would give the ebay twats a good run for their money

And what exactly was the reason they gave you for suspending you. Especially indefinitely.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

One account - vero
Second - not able to provide documents
Third - selling highrisk items

Routine of a vero trader, nothing special.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I have two paypal accounts (eBay suspended a long time ago!) completing 3 years now, another one (with eBay intact) also about 3 years now.

My Amazon accounts fared better, I think. Two of them are almost 4 years now (both have US and UK selling accounts) and the other one is 2 years.

smithers4492 02-23-2015 10:14 AM

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

My first account I started with got suspended after about 6 months, basically I was very new, very stupid and was selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ products (that HUNDREDS of others were also selling) but just had so many people complaining they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or low quality etc... (which in fairness they were) that I got banned for having too many complaints and low feedback!

I managed to get a new account though, one I made years ago but forgot about and have been using that for roughly 7 months now, and even though I haven't been selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ crappy items and have done literally EVERYTHING I could possibly do to be as good a seller as possible it really is still incredibly hard! 1 negative feedback in the past 6 months or so, but had a rough January few people wanting returns/trying to exploit free items, one more negative feedback all collectively pushed me from 'Top Rated Seller' all the way down to 'Below Standard' but now for whatever reason I've completely turned it around in less than 6 weeks, gotten back up to top rated and been given gold powerseller status...

Moral of the story, eBay is an unbelievably fickle, unpredictable ridiculous website, so screw them and screw their insane rules, because it seems that NOTHING you do can actually keep you safe as a seller! eBay stealth is the only way!

muzzie 02-24-2015 07:49 AM

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

VeRO is really high-risk, but usually is worth it. So having 20+ accs makes VeRO selling really nice and easy-going. Even if the things one sells are 100% authentic, lots of accs is a must, just in case, because becoming an authorized seller sometimes is just impossible, especially, for things not bought from an official distributor. A friend of mine bought around 100 pairs of genuine sport equipment things that allow to jump and run faster, for a bargain price, all authentic. But then it turned out that VeRO forbids to sell these things anywhere except their own online store. So there are sometimes no legit ways to sell an authentic thing.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I found this forum about 8 months ago after my ebay account got suspended for 7 days..
And this will show how ridiculous ebay is..
22000+ positive feedback, selling on eBay for 8 years the good days admittedly were in 2007 when we shipping approx 200 orders a day.. But this last year we had an improvement and we're back up 30 to 50 orders per day..
eBay fees approx £1200 per month so I was doing ok and ebay was doing ok out of me..
Suspended for outstanding bill of £12.99???
How? eBay fees are paid through PayPal aren't they?
Well apparently, an order went to the USA, and apparently that customer used eBay.com not ebay.co.uk, the customers order got lost in transit so customer got a refund from ebay.com..
eBay.com can't be rein burst from PayPal.co.uk so PayPal.com sent an email asking me to reimburse the £12.99.. PayPal.com was using an email from for me that was deep in their system and had not been used for 7 years, so I never got the request for payment..
Apparently they never thought to use ebay messages or send an email to the email used for PayPal payments, so they suspended my account for seven days.

I calculated that this £12.99 had cost them over £350 in lost seller fees and had cost me £1k in profit.

That was the first time I had ever had any problem with ebay, 5 months later my account was indefinitely suspended due to intellectual property protection, according to one ebay representative he had never seen so many veros on one account. Turned out to be 5 items out of my 500 listed that had in their opinion a misleading title.
Using this forum I now have 6 separate accounts and after 6 months sent a letter to ebay and contacted support and have got my original account reinstated all be it with a 300 / £3000 per month limit.
Are golden rule now is don't keep all your eggs in one basket, multiple account for your own protection, because they just don't care.
and anyway eBay to us is a dying company, Amazon did and does now outsell ebay 10 to 1 with the same product, etsy outsells eBay 4 to 1..
ebays days are numbered, there loosing sellers and they are loosing even more customers..
If they carry on like they are it will be a great place to sell all your second hand junk you no longer want, while you make your money on Amazon.

I used stealth account since 2013 ....Some they are work but you need spare part for selling. You don't know when your store get earthquake.

I am sure the stealth account is final destination for me...I sell 8000 USD a month with 3-4 accounts.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

So what's VERO again? I got banned because I opened a second account linked to the same email as my Primary eBay account. My new untrusted account was selling hot items for way lower than retail value and that was a Red Flag For eBay. I had 48 hrs to explain myself, I didn't call in time and account was banned. 98% Feedback.

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

First off, i want to thank Aspkin and all others who contribute great up to date information to this site.
About four years ago i was suspended for selling some vero stuff that many others were selling already. i made good money until POOOF..........well, we all know vero isn't good.
I called and they did say i was suspended for one year and not suspended for life.

i resigned up immediately with a different name ,........ started selling..........POOOF got suspended immediately.

I was very confused at that time just how they knew everything.

Now the good part...

I found this site and read everything i could without subscribing.
The Mods and the veterans of this site have it figured out. they stay on top of things the best they can...Thank You again guyz.

Even tho a lot of the reading is confusing here for new people breaking into this stealth technique, i recommend read read read.

I started my first stealth about three and a half years ago and was always waiting for the big POOOF...your out of here again.

I ran that stealth for about six months with no problems and decided to do another stealth.
Worked perfectly again.

I ran them two accounts for another year and was always waiting to get the big boot.

In the last year i have started four more accounts and now am selling items on six accounts with never an issue.

The first stealth account now has a limit of 100,00 items. even tho i only have 250 items listed with variations that total about 6000 100%FB
UNMOLESTED FOR FOURS YEARS

The second stealth
limit of 20,000 items 99.80FB
UNMOLESTED FOR ALMOST THREE AND A HALF YEARS

The third fourth fifth and sixth stealth's are only about 8-11 months old but i am selling on all of them.
the limits are...third...125 items
fourth..100 items
fifth...25 items
sixth..25 items

The fifth and sixth account only started with 5 items
sometimes i would not get a raise for 4-5 months
sometime i would get a raise in 30 days

Seems like the last few accounts are really really slow at raising limits.
I have never called them to ask either. I have always waited for the increase

I see some accounts for sell from well respected people here that just might be the solution to having to wait for a couple years for the limits i need. I don't need 1000,00 items, just a couple thousand items with multiple accounts is perfect for me. Price isn't bad at all.

Thanks again to everyone here that wants to help people get back up and making money. No Vero this time

Timber

BTW.. buying the book because of the respect i have for this community

Re: anybody been on unmolested for more than 12 months?

I had several accounts for more than a year. I was very strict about following all the stealth rules, I made more accounts within that year and one day...BAM. All 7 of my accounts suspended in one swoop. I would say they are never safe. Not sure how these accounts were linked, there is no way they were linked by IP. So now I go back to the drawing board. Think about mistakes I might have made, possibly having the same items on the account and the addresses were all in the same city could have put up a red flag. Who knows. I am going to go stealth to get rid of my remaining product then put the nightmare that is ebay to rest. I DID notice though that right before all my accounts were suspended, I had my limits raised to crazy high limits. I had always had 100/5000 accounts which were fine with me and several of them were raised to 1000/25000 which I would never in a million years need and then two weeks later....bye bye.
