Some contracts expire upon the death of one or more of the principals, others do not.
Some contracts are also assignable to third parties not originally in the agreement.
It all depends on what the contract specifies.
It's particularly important to note the 'assignee' parameters, or you can discover you suddenly have a partner you didn't start off with, maybe somebody whose attitude or philosophy don't align with yours.
That's why phrases such as "binding upon all/any heirs and assignees" are important. |
