Please forgive me if this is not allowed.
We sell a lot of computer equipment over a range of different accounts. Since Christmas we were having brand new 0 feedback accounts pop up and were winning every single item. They would bid with two different accounts, bid the price up to more than it was worth and then not pay.
I know its a targeted attack as instead of names they jut put ",,,," and the usernames are similar.
To start, I thought this was an attack against us, but it's happening to almost everyone that sells IT stuff on ebay. Just a quick look on today completed items in the computers category (these aren't mine) shows at least 5 items sold to these accounts in the last hour: http://www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/1...p2047675.l2565 http://www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/2...p2047675.l2565 http://www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/3...p2047675.l2565 http://www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/2...p2047675.l2565
If you click on the bidder you can see there is clearly something fishy, bidding on over 100 items and thats just one account: http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI...p2471758.m4792
The problem is he just keep opening new accounts, so as soon as you block it they just make a new one.
I'm confused whats going on. 20 of my items today on different accounts were hijacked! ebay don't care, they don't want to know.
Anyone else experiencing this??? I'm so confused whats going on. |
