I want to ask you is it possible to make my current listings not visible in my country ?
Usually how it works is the listing is only visible in the country you put the listing up on. Then you have the option to increase that visibility on other ebay sites (i.e. UK, US etc.).

To achieve what your trying to do, you'll need to work backwards with this approach, i.e. register elsewhere, so you can prevent your listing showing up in your own country.

Hope that makes sense. :thumb:

Wait, so if you do this, does this effectively make your listings "invisible"? Could someone use this technique if they wanted to temporarily hide their listings?

No. You can not exclude your own country from the shipping list.

Temporarily hiding listings is a completely different matter. Look into ebay shops, and setting QTY to 0 to temporarily deactivate listings.

Its not about the address you register with, but rather the eBay site you register on.

Example: If I registered on eBay.co.uk, then eBay.com, eBay.ca etc. users usually wont see my listing, and vice versa. But I can choose to show them on other eBay sites if I opt to post to those locations.

Just a little reverse thinking, and you will get there.

My old account is registered in .at and when i make listing it is visible when i searched it from home. I tryed to exclude my own country and set up with buyer requirements, but my listing was still visible.

Which ebay site do bulgarian users use?

Also are you making sure the listing has all international shipping options turned off etc.? - may be a good idea to try that, and search a few hours later just to make sure the feature works.

The premise is that you shouldn't be able to search something on ebay, that wont be deliverable to you. i.e. I cannot search something on eBay UK, that is only delivered in Australia. But I have come across listing based in Australia that deliver to the UK at an additional cost.

Most popular here are .com and .co.uk

In my listings all international shipping options are not turned off :(
But if i turn them on probably nobody will buy from me.
Another thing in my mind is when somebody browse/search in eBay without log into his account what will he see ?

Could you reiterate that please? From the sounds of it you probably meant to say International shipping options are turned on, and if you turn them off nobody would buy from you.

What I meant was, you should try turning it off, then doing the search a few hours later to test the method I mentioned - to ensure it works. Then you can mess around with settings to see what works for you best later.

Well it depends where they go. i.e. ebay.co.uk (only items posted to UK)

Now i get it. Slow but i get it :)
I will turn off International shipping options and will do search for the managed listing after hours. I will write after that.

Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings

I made test listing with International shipping options turned off in .co.uk and shipping was avaliable only to UK in the listing. I made search in .co.uk , .com and .de and the listing are not visible. It wokrs :thumb: Thanks again.
Now i should figgure out how to set the listing to be not shown in my country and also shipping avaliable to many countries. I tryed to exclude it from shipping list before and setted up also buying restrictions for compatriots, but didn't worked for me.

Have a nice weekend :)
