Change Owner Details On Ebay Account
 

Basically I have a friend with an ebay account with over 100k feedback. No problems and is a legit account.

How do I go about changing the information and not raising any flags?

Can be run under same computer and IP as the account is being run at the moment.

Its a business account.

I will be creating a new PayPal account and adding this to the ebay account.

Should my friend contact ebay asking if its ok to sell the business?

ebay is not important but the paypal is. You should be able to change the details of the paypal business account relatively easily BUT they may require new proof of who you are and such. In the USA the process is easy with a Company and EIN. Not sure how it would work for you.

The post you mentioned highlights the risks of using the ebay account etc.

I would like to know the process of changing the information.

When selling a business, an ebay account is part of a business so ownership should be able to be changed. For example, if Tesco or Argos had a new manager/director, they would be able to change.

So maybe getting confirmation that selling your business is allowed in case they say something after.

Yankee thank you. But I would want to start a new PayPal in a new company name. IDs are not a problem.

I just would like a way to do the transfer smoothly.

1) Add new company name
2) unlink PP account
After 2 weeks
3) Change name and add new PP

Address, email etc can be the same
All done on same computer and IP as where its being used before.

Does that seem ok?
