MacBook Died. Please help.
 

Last night my MacBook Pro died containing 2 years of cookies and full data for over 15 successful eBay and PayPal stealth accounts.

After speaking with Apple, they believe I need a know internal power supply replacement.

If this fails, has anyone got any suggestions on how I can retain all valuable info stored on my Mac by converting to another MacBook?

you would probably have to pull the hard drive and put it on a new computer. You should be backing that info now if you can.

Should be able to swap the hard drive pretty easily...I did this (not with a macbook but with pc) when I had to change computers from older model to newer one

with apple you are safe, pull out your hard drive , conected ( even with USB ) to any apple computer, start the computer ( press ALT ) it will give an option which hard drive you want to use, choose your target hard drive...enter...here you go )
