Try buying at low demand times, for example at 4am local time.
If you're competing for limited product you're going to be at a disadvantage because there'll be a bazillion people fighting over the same thing.
If that's the case your distance alone will delay your signal enough to leave you at the back of the herd.
Latency across distance is very real. Companies paid billions of dollars to lay fiber optic cable from New York to London in a straight line to get a fractional millisecond advantage in purchasing and selling stocks.
We're talking about communication at the speed of light, which travels at 186,000 miles per second, and cutting a few hundred miles off the distance is enough to make a difference in transactions.
You could also try using a different internet connection, perhaps, and see if it's any better. |
