No, I agree, and no.

VMs for the win. Using VMs to manage your accounts is 10x more efficient than using user accounts.

I use VMWare, so I only fire up the accounts I'm actually selling on....

Personally I like using win acc myself.

So far the Virtual Machines I have used are very slow.

Do you guys have a good VM that speed things up?

It all boils down to how you create your VMs. Installing "VMWare tools" on your VM after creation is vital because it increases VM performance significantly. I always recommend Windows XP for the OS since it's tiny and barely uses any of your computer's resources. When I make a new VM I give it 1GB RAM and 10GB of hard drive space. Mine all boot up in less than 20 seconds and run seamlessly.

May I ask about your VM creation method? What OS are you using? What are the specs on your computer and what specs did you give your VM? Did you install VMWare tools?

Any computer with 2GB of RAM can run a Windows XP VM (with VMWare tools installed) perfectly smooth.

Its hard to manage accounts. It can decrease your computer speed and start lagging.

maybe 2 or 3 accounts would better for low pc

I have 400 on mine.
4 year old Win 7 laptop (with Samsung SSD).
Never had an issue.

These specs work pretty Well. I have an onld Virtual Machine (the first one I ever created and the most important one) that runs win 10 :( Its lame as **** by now. Do you think defrag is a good idea?

Cheers

Re: how many users do you put on one PC?

There is no set limit of user accounts on PC, Mac etc. - it's all about how many your computer specs can handle i.e. the more user accounts you have, usually the more disk space you'll be using etc.

For the average user, this shouldn't be an issue. I personally have 15 accounts, but only use 5 at any given time (leave the others to cool down).

The accounts from this bunch that bring in the most sales, I put them each into their own Virtual Machine, with a unique profile to ensure they are "future proof", in case eBay ever decide to upgrade their tracking techniques, there's less chance these accounts will get linked.
