Ebay Restricted after one sale what the fuk
 

So, i made 1 sale and the next day my ebay gets restricted because they need to verify my information, what the **** is this? literally makes no sense..

unfortunately my mind reading abilities aren't working today so how about you provide us with more information on the account, and transaction...and what the limitation says.

so the transaction was for 65$ i was getting ready to confirm the bank on my paypal after my first sale and getting ready to ship it the next day. i get an email saying your ebay account is temporarily restricted while we verify your information. theres a link in the email to verify my ebay, when i click it, it gives me an option to call ebay. i cannot come up with an idea of why or what caused this to happen. do you have the slightest advice?

Just call eBay and get it removed.. You should be up and running again within the hour.

It's a simple call that always results in the getting the account back up and running and makes the account even stronger...

When you call, be pleasant and act like a new seller. They will reinstate the account. Make sure you have all the info in front of you. They will ask for your name, address and if you have the items in your possession that you are selling, then you will put you on hold for 4 minutes, then they will come back and basically tell you to read the eBay rules and that they are restoring your account. It's all a simple process.

Something triggered them to ask for this call, it's usually trying to sell the same item in quantities on the same listing, using stock pictures you didn't take yourself, or you are selling something that is generally counterfeited or high risk. Also using a bad VPN or VPS can trigger the call as well.

If you don't have access to the phone the account was created with, make sure you use a phone that's not tied to any current or previous eBay/PayPal accounts.

It's not a full restriction, you need to call ebay...they will ask you to verify some basic information on the account such as name, email, phone...they will ask you if you have the item on you, etc....should be easy.

i added time to the phone, called them, stayed on hold, told me yes, it seems like your account will not be able for use of sale or purchases anymore, we apologize. every single time i've called ebay, i have NEVER won.

Did not see the $65 dollar price tag, it can go either way on the price wise.....personally It doesn't seem that high, could be a high risk item though.

they did that to me also on a 2nd account i tried to create for my business.

I had 1 account, powerseller, over 1 yr more like close to 2 yrs old.

I tried to create a 2nd account linked to all the same info, sold some stuff then they banned me permanently from the new account.

yet they still left the original account fully functional which doesnt add up according to the rules.. they always say if 1 account goes down any others with your real info go down. not true apparently. or they may have messed up as ebay does that often and every time i call i get different answers for the same questions.. unreal.

so much false info ALL OVER the internet. dont believe everything you read.
and definitely dont take NO for an answer from ebay half the reps dont know what the hell is going on with anything.

your item price was too high $65 on a new account.. stay at $20 or less and you will be ok. was your first item a low risk item like a USED item or used book?

they do that sometimes. I had it happen with an account from seller I purchased from here. 1st item I listed a low risk used item under 20$ and account shut down immediately.
It happens ebay is crazy.

I also recommend to NEVER USE A ****ING VPN dont listen to the bull****. VPNs are crap. use ProxynVPn for $2/mo IP address THAT WORK JUST FINE.

I received this temporary restriction but the eBay rep wanted to send me a text code to my stealth phone which is a number I do not have access to. I am going to try to call again tomorrow.

I received the exact same email. Will they ask for your birthday? I don't remember what I provided for that

why do you need to "remember' these things? Did you just put info in when you created the account, and that's it? It's clearly not an important account for you then. Just create another one.

Was this a Vero / risky item?

I wonder if they restricted you because of it or because of the account creation process?
