Exclamation First sale, listing for $35. Temporary hold - call Ebay.

Hi, week old account created it myself. Fully verified.
I have all the info I used to create the account. Obviously the details are not of a real person.

I am a bit phone shy and do not want to mess it up. I only tried to list a fishing reel for $35. I do not know if its the mc011 hold or its something else? I have received no email just a message appeared on the listing screen telling me to contact Ebay they need to keep the market safe ect ect ect.

Doesn't sound good though if they are asking you to contact them after listing one item and not even selling the darn thing lol.

Maybe use live chat if your not that confident. See if they can resolve it

Sorry for not being more clear. I have not sold the item. I just tried to list the item and thats when a error message popped up and told me to contact Ebay. I tried live chat they said for any type of holds you need to speak with a account manager by phone.

All they are going to ask is to verify your name, address, phone, email, do you have the item with you? are you shipping the item yourself, nothing crazy. Call in as soon as you can, do not let it sit.

You have a simple temporary restriction, easily resolved...

It's a simple call that always results in the getting the account back up and running and makes the account even stronger...

When you call, be pleasant and act like a new seller. They will reinstate the account. Make sure you have all the info in front of you. They will ask for your name, address and if you have the items in your possession that you are selling, then you will put you on hold for 4 minutes, then they will come back and basically tell you to read the eBay rules and that they are restoring your account. It's all a simple process.

Something triggered them to ask for this call, it's usually trying to sell the same item in quantities on the same listing, using stock pictures you didn't take yourself, or you are selling something that is generally counterfeited or high risk. Also using a bad VPN or VPS can trigger the call as well.

Make sure you use a phone that's not tied to any current or previous eBay/PayPal accounts if you don't have access to the phone the account was created with.

No, not if it is a "Temporary Restriction"

Just follow what I said for the accounts that already have this.

And for your future accounts follow this for the 1st 90 days after your 1st sale and you won't have to call anymore...

I listed my first item on a 3day old ebay business UK account. It's a super low risk item with a Buy it Now price of 2.49 and postage of 1.99 to the UK only. I inputted a quantity of 30.

When I went and hit submit my listing, I got the temporary hold on the selling account message. I live chatted them and confirmed I had the item in my possession and they asked my future ebay plans and whether I was going to buy or sell on ebay (I said a mixture of both) and then he re-opened my account for selling.

I'm going to let this item sit there for quite a while before listing other items.

With other stealth accounts I've listed veryyyy similar items after 30 days and never got the temporary hold message. Is this new account now under more scrutiny seeing as the item was listed early and because the system placed a temporary hold even though it was subsequently removed?

I'm using a fresh UK IP (never been used before IP) from IPBurger by the way and following all stealth rules (new user account, built up cookies for the 3 days prior browsing similar items/acting like a noob/talking to livechat etc)

Just got an MC113 on the above account. Found it weird since it's 100% stealth. Contacted live chat and they just asked how many items am i planning to sell and are they all new to which I replies about 100 initially and all new and then he re-opened the account and I relisted the item again!

So weird! I even had the 'no longer a registered user' thing but that's gone now and the account is back in business.

Any similar expeirences???

I made my account about two weeks ago and I was bummed to see that I was suspended after listing my first item. I called in eBay, with the intent of reinstating my account. Apparently, I was suspended because they wanted me to call in and verify my information. I provided all of my fabricated information, and then the agent called me back on my phone number to ensure its validity. Sure enough, that was all it took to reinstate my account. After doing this, the account is stronger and more resilient for the future. They raised my limits a few days ago, to 50/$2500, even though my account is only 11 days old. This early suspension is a good thing to have in the creation of a new stealth account, trust me.

I'm even considering changing my TracFone number so I can make more accounts. I seriously doubt that eBay will be calling my phone for any reason.
