A quick death might be too easy... perhaps a long, lingering illness, the kind where your life slowly drains away one slow drop at a time...

Wow, I certainly took that someplace dark. :0

I finally got a reply from the "verified vero". They had to assure me they were the verified vero representative of the brand that eBay granted their account for. Hence, the account is a seller account with 5 views and creation in June. They claimed to feel free to contact ebay and that if I listed more in the future, I would "probably" hear from them.

At this point, this person cannot be serious. Even if it were a party that did vero, they are beyond unprofessional. I thought everyone would want to hear a good laugh over this.

That's not the way Vero works. They complain, EB takes it down. Done and done. They're a bunch of liars, and not even good liars.

Be sure when you respond to give them EB's phone number to make it easy for them.

When you email them back also tell them you escalated a call to a manager in EB's Trust & Safety department and they confirmed these guys aren't VERO members, so T&S is going to be reviewing their account and probably will shut them down. (One good lie deserves an even better one, don't you think?!)

Then block them so they can't contact you any more. And block them as a buyer from your listings, if you can, though they can sneak around that pretty easy.

It's almost too fun to block them. They are a slow day's entertainment.

As Dallis pointed out above, there is a process for a VERO request, and this guy did not follow it. So, yea, maybe you need to report to eBay and have Trust & Safety take a closer look at their account?

I don't care how "official" one sounds; if they contact you out of the blue on an eBay messsage, you can't possibly take them seriously.
