Default Return Request

hi i sold an item on eBay and the buyer opened a return request and the funds are held on paypal but he hasn't sent the item back to be and the deadline is tomorrow. whats the next steps does paypal release the funds back to me???

IF the buyer does not upload tracking, then yes the case closes and the funds become available.

Don't count your chickens yet.....I've had assholes wait till the last day to return an item (upload a tracking)....probably just to be, well....assholes.

Yup. I do it sometimes myself on the refunds. I wait till the very last day if someone is a dink. Same goes for buyers and this includes uploading tracking that was never sent or shows delivery but to somewhere else. Assholes are assholes and some are ****tier than others

God i hope its not you lol, so if they don't put tracking up tomorrow which is the deadline date to upload tracking for return paypal will just release funds is that correct????

I tend to wait until a few hours before the case will automatically be escalated and resolved to respond, I find the longer I wait and the more I drag it out the less likely the buyer is to go through the trouble of returning the item.

Especially if they're difficult, rude or crazy.

No reason to make it easy on them.

Eventually they'll release the funds.

Well, with all the energy spent like this, I'm surprised you guys have enough to focus on making more sales.

Personally I'd just get over with it. But yea, I wouldn't sweat it if I were you. If they don't do it within the time limit, you auto win the case.

As previously mentioned, yes the funds are currently held by PayPal since the case is opened. Once it's closed, you'll receive your money back.
