Buyer lodged a return request for item not as described. I emailed and pointed out that the description detailed the fault clearly. Buyer responded with OK, not paying attention, will look into it. I later asked buyer to remove claim. No reply. Today is the day when I can ask eBay to step in. BUT HOW DO I DO THAT?

If its a case then you have a defect already. it wont be removed as its the buyers opinion. Dont let it be esculated as then ebay will close the case it buyers favour and tell then to return for a refund. There should be an option which says 'request buyer return for a refund' you should click this before the 8th day. Otherwise if the buyer esculates it then it will go down as an unresolved case. Anything above 0.30% unresolved cases and you can be banned.

It was under returns. The fault was minor and was revealed in the description which apparently buyer overlooked. I am sure buyer has fixed the problem since it is now the 11th day. I've asked buyer again (politely) to remove. Under normal circumstances I would refund without question.
I have a return for item not as described and it is showing as a defect.
I have spoken with the buyer as the situation and she wants to return the item, that was 10 days ago and she has still not sent it, according to the return.
Does anyone know what happens if she doesn't respond?
Would the defect be cleared if the return times out?
