limitation release

Hello,

Has been around 170 days since limitation.
How do I go about releasing my funds?
Would I need to call paypal to close my account? (if so what questions may they ask)

can I close my account without calling?

Thanks

Carlisle

Re: limitation release

Since the account is limited, only PayPal can Close it.

Let me ask you these questions.

When you were first limited, did you get notice from PayPal they wanted to part ways. And did they tell you they were going to release the funds?

Nope, asked me to upload docs. I didn't bother

on the 180th day, withdraw the funds direct to the original bank account attached.
If there's any issues doing that, let us know.

Hey, I had no bank attached at this moment. Can I attach after the 180 days?

Remember the 180 day's isn't from when your account is first limited it's from when you tell them you're not supplying the docs or they tell you by email your funds will be released in 180 days

These are entirely separate facts.

If the docs were not supplied and advice given to that effect, the fact of getting funds released has not yet started.

Should PayPal be aware of the above, there should be an email advising of funds release.

OP’s issue is where he actually stands with PayPal at this point.
Once this is known, we can work out about bank attachment etc,

Re: limitation release

If the account is fully limited, and you notify PayPal you don't want to supply any information - the 180 day period starts.

If you haven't notified PayPal, best to give them a call. They don't always respond to tickets/messages/emails regarding limitation queries. Especially this time of year.

After that period of time elapses, you should be able to attach a fresh bank, and withdraw. If not, you'll need to contact PayPal again to let them know your unable to withdraw. Usually a few switches flipped on their side rectifies the issue.

You should then be able to withdraw. This is contingent upon the level of risk you pose to PayPal. If they deem you highly risky, they may choose to hold your funds indefinitely.

Play, I think this should be stickied for UK users.

I would go so far as to say your first paragraph could be in bold type.

I truly hope many readers get to find this explanation.

Thanks so much.
