Questions about IP & Linkage
 

hello all,

i personally use tethering on my phone or ipad when wanting a new ip for a new log in regularly, and i keep logs on all my ips in notes.

my question is lets say i just made a new user and new ebey and whatever and i want to log in and i check my ip and log it down, how can i know if it has been used before, or how can i check while im on a new user through my other user account notes to see if my ip has been used.

if anyone is confused by this i'd be happy to explain a bit more, but this is just something that has been lingering in the back of my mind.

Do not get too paranoid about IP, it is a minor link but you are doing right about keeping logs and everything :thumb:

As far as the problem you are having with "notes", if my understanding is correct, you could just have s file to be shared online among the accounts (via google drive or something) and make it available for all the accounts you have.

eBay know if you are tethering and treat these IP's differently as they are recycled through users on a regular basis. You don't need to worry about being linked as long as you are changing the IP in between switching accounts

I've used common ips (Xfinity hotspot, free WiFi) and it's never been an issue.
