I was wondering how eBay charges after 50 listing. The first 50 is free. After 50, it's 30 cents. Is it 30 cents per item or 30 cents per listing?
I'm selling this one product with different variations. You can get it with battery, or without batteries or with cable, or without cable. So there's 4 variations and I put 10 quanitity of each choice so when I list, it takes a total of 40 listing because 10 with batteries x10 without batteries x10 with cable x10 without cable.
So am i charged 30 cents x 40 listings or is it 30 cents per item? Because I list one item that holds 40 quantity of listing.

If it's one listing with 4 variations it's one charge. If it's 4 different listings, it's 4 charges.
Quantity is irrelevant to listing charge, but counts against your limits. If you have a limit of 50, and your quantity on a single listing is 10, you will only have 40 more slots, even if it's only one listing.
