Default Endicia ?

I was trying to get some input on Endicia for a u.s. seller like my self ..150-200 packages a week and 10-30 international a week ..Most of the threads i read are outdated .. so was just wondering how it was working for some sellers on here ..couple of other questions
1. is it easy to link to paypal ?
2.how much is the delivery confirmation through them ?
3.can you pay them through paypal or how does the billing work ?
4.does the international on line customs thing really work

appreciate any help ..thx

I use Endicia everyday....
1 - It doe not link to Paypal.... Where did you get that idea?
2 - It is free
3 - I am billed by credit card
4 - I do international customs forms everyday. Works great.

I suggest you do a little more research on the Endicia web site so you can fully understand what the service does and does not do.

HWGA , What i mean by link to paypal is when printing labels , i fill orders through paypal -so i assume the software picks up the addreses through there as a printer than ..also you often tell users to do ''more research'''' I do lots of research as evidence by alot of the threads i have answered and started on this site but info is constantly changing so good info 3 months ago may be bad info now - i was just trying to get other users experience's and see how they feel about Endicia , the Endicia website is only going to give in a biased manner and i was just trying to see if there were any negs as far as using .
New threads and topics will be what keeps this site alive even if they rehash some previous threads , if everybody reads old threads on here , often with outdated info .it will become boring and uninformative and people will quickly forget about the site , which will not be good for the owners of the website . thanks

I use Endicia for Macintosh and it does NOT get any information from Paypal.
ALL addresses have to be copy/pasted into the address window.

As for the PC version I use at work...
We use Shipworks as our shipping software with Endicia on the backend as a portal for USPS packages.
Now Shipworks grabs the Paypal payment information direct from my Paypal payments.
Shipworks then has ALL the address information and ports it over to Endicia for our USPS packages.

But as far as I know the Endicia software for PC (called Dazzle) does NOT talk to Paypal at all.

Other than not talking to Paypal the Endicia software works wonderfully.
The Macintosh version is 100X more user friendly than the PC version.

Personally I stand in line for ALL my international packages just to make sure that they get scanned into the USPS system upon me delivering them to the window person.
This way the tracking will show that the package was received by the USPS and the buyer can see this as well.

gibston, in your OP you said you have 10 international parcels. It is much safer to stand in line like HWGA said, to make sure they get scanned in correctly. If you are sending to countries like France or Italy, it helps to cover your end as seller.

^^^^^^^^
Correct....
Italy is about the worse country to try to ship to.
Greece is another one.

And believe it or not I have been having a big issue lately with packages going to
The UK

I think it has to do with the weight as far as getting lost or stolen .. i have only had maybe 2-3 packages lost in the last 2 years out of probaly 1500 but allmost all weigh under 8 ounces .. 90% go to France, Australia, Germany , Uk .

In my case, the parcels are well over 5lbs and heavier. To ship, I cover myself against any problems.

I've had no problems with Greece. Italy was a bad experience the only time I ever shipped there. UK has been a breeze. Canada must think my mother dresses me funny. Korea, Sri Lanka, Australia, Moldova, Denmark, Ukraine, all without a hitch. Israel has been the worst for me. I don't do Israel anymore. Never figured out what I could have done better, so I just let it go.

I use the Zebra LP 2844 and it works GREST.
I got it through CDW, not through Endicia.
It was much cheaper from CDW. You just have to pick the correct one.

I love it......
No ribbon to change and they accept the free label rolls that you can get with a UPS World Ship account....

I was looking on ebay and I saw some used ones going for .99 cents with free shipping. There was only 1 hour left.

I use to also use the Zebra LP 2844. I still have it, it's just another one of my dust collectors since I don't use it now due to the fact that I don't ship with UPS anymore. Since all the rate increases I stuck with USPS since its the cheapest.

The pros for Thermal Printers: Free self adhesive labels, No Ink or toner required, Easy to use, small and compact in size, Compatible with other shipping company.

Cons: Don't see any.
