Mac user here looking for an easy way to run one stealth account. I would rather not have 2 separate user accounts that I need to switch back and forth on. My main user account is constantly using chrome and firefox.
Would portable firefox work or am I better off with VMware? Of course a new user account is an option but I would rather not close out of everything a few times a day.

Its so easy to make new users on your Mac - it literally takes a couple of seconds and switching between them keeps everything separate and makes it much easier.
Closing all programs to switch accounts is the bigger issue. I usually have a lots of office and other programs open which often don't close easily or crash when trying to close.
You don't have to close anything - you keep everything open and just switch accounts? You don't need to log out, you can be logged in on multiple users at the same time on a Mac.
I have 5 users on my Mac and I'm logged into all of them right now. I simply click the name at the right hand top corner to switch to one of my others accounts - no need to log out.

I saw this response a year ago about switching between mac users. Have you still had any problems keeping all your users open and just switching between all of them instead of having to log out, enter your password, and then log in to your stealth account user?
