Listing more than my limits. How is this even possible?

I have a UK account and I am logging on to .com with it.

I just recently got bumped from 50 (or so) to 90. Was gonna try to hit 90 to see if I would get bumped again. Much to my surprise I have managed to list 250+ listings. I even got a store (it was what I was gonna do when my limits got lifted anyway).

The limit meter is frozen. Whatever new listings I put up, does not affect it.

Has this happened to any of you guys?
Feeling tempted to put up 1000 just to see if it works. It is not really my fault that this is happening (not that they would accept that explanation).

EDIT: Also, none of these listings are ghosted. They are searchable, get views and get sales.

So what happened afterwards? They bumped you up to more than what you had listed? Any downsides?

As soon as they catch up to it they'll kill the listings over your limit.

That's what happened to me, anyway.

Thanks. That is annoying. Guess I will stop adding new ones. Gonna back up the ones I have posted (somehow) and hope that they bump me to match what I've listed, instead of deleting.

Just let them run till the end then watch the quantity of your listings from now on and reach the max allowed.

Yeah, I would have figured that my connections with the holy see had something to do with it

I am tempted to just stay at this level though (+250 at a 90 limit), and see if they will can the listings or not, and also see if I get bumped automatically. Since the limit meter ain't moving, I do doubt that they would even bump me though. It's a tricky situation.

Certainly let them ride it out, report back and tell us what happens... I haven't seen this since the limits were first introduced years back, I'm curious to see how it falls out.

That explains it, probably the limits didn't update on your dashboard as fast as the allowance did.

I have had that happen and I asked ebay and they said that category did not hve limits, just like a newaccount can only list 1 TV per 30 days some have less restrictions
