Hot spot issue
 

Just found out from my IT son in law that when I log onto my stealth ebay with phone hotspot EVEN though it says it is connected that my computer looks for best connection and still using my Cable connection. WHAT?? Thank God my cable connection gives me a new IP every time I re-log on

But you learn something new about stealth everyday

Disable your home internet connection then, sir.

Better to set your computer to not automatically connect to a recognized connection.

Means you have to connect manually every time, but saves so much trouble long term.

Just disable auto connection to your home cable internet

Disable the auto connection - easy to do - manually get in there

unfortunately my IT guy said if I did that I would have to log on to my connection every time and I use it for work. He said not to worry that if I just unplug router everyday I get a new IP everyday. no worries.

You do realise you can not answer to two masters?

Just make sure you get the stealth advise for what you are doing.

That advice sucks. Get a new IP guy and demote this one back to being your son-in-law.
