high dollar item maxing out on aged acct.

Hey everyone. There's an item (industtial / lab) that I want to sell its worth anywhere from 5k-10k..I only hold one acct with a 5 year aged $5k limit @ 100% fb. If i listed it near my max would I run into any problems?

I realize ppal may hold until receipt of shipment ..

thanks in advanced.

I wouldn't even consider letting PP hold that much of my money. I'd insist it be send in a fashion that can't be charged back.

Probably better to use a different venue than EB.

I think PayPal would limit the account as soon as you got payment then request docs due to buyer protection. They would not be willing to take that big of a hit without assurances.

Honestly, no one knows, I don't know how you made your account and what it's gone through, its history, etc.

If you truly believe that it'll be ok , would you be ok facing a possibility that they might limit your account whether it's a soft / permanent limitation?

That is one heck of an expensive item to be selling on eBay via PayPal

Personally I wouldn't no matter how strong the account is

I am not sure for stealth. If it is your real account, it should be OK ( personal experience ). You need to consider other issues ---

Do you have experiences to pack dedicated instruments?

If you need to use freight service to ship it, make sure to have full value insurance. Normal freight service only provide insurance which reimbursed by weight ( $0.5-1/lb ). I sold one for $3600, got damaged in transit. Insurance only sent $108 check to me after 6 weeks later. I always ask freight company to add full value insurance in quotation since then.

^^^ all the best answers! every one of them! its also what I expected to hear. Most ive sold in a single listing $800. and was held to end of delivery.

I sure do appreciate all the great advice!! Maybe I can find someone and pay them good to sell it for me.

Using ebay opens you up to a buyer scam.

Sell on a platform where you can control handling etc.

Can you imagine packing correctly, ship;ung off. Then the buyer files SNAD?

Not worth this for you.

Well done for asking before doing the deal.
