Hello,

I have listed my first item and after I submitted the listing I received this message:
"It looks like you've reached the number of items and amount you can list. You can list up to 0 items and $0.00 in total sales this month"

What can I do about it?

I have created the seller account using the credit card and listed the item.
the paypal account is not linked to the ebay account

That may well be one reason you got 0 limits.

paypal prefers to see a bank account to verify an account and a vcc to confirm it.

Another question is what type of item did you list?

Make sure you know your account info. Did you create the account with real info or stealth info?

the account was created with stealth info.
the item listed was fifa 18 for xbox (39$).
so you suggest to link the paypal account to the ebay accoun?

What phone number did you use to create the account with?
Im guessing a VOIP service.
Am I correct?
If the answer is yes than you also have your answer as to why you have 0/0 limits.
On a side note - even if you had actual selling limits the account would more than likely get shut down as soon as your first item was listed since it is a high risk item.

use ebay live chat if you dont want too call ,They will ask you for your info and what you plan on selling so just have them handy. i suggest telling them a much safer item though :).

USA accounts don't have live chat - only UK accounts do. You'll have to call or email. This type of call is usually easy to do.

It's high risk because video games are commonly counterfeited, it's brand name, and it's moderately expensive for a first-listed item.

it sounds like you listed almost instantly also. This also gets 0-0 limits. The number you used, listing instantly and the item you list oftentimes dictates what selling limits you have.

With successful slow listing to the max limit over time...account will grow - that's one plan

just listed on another account in the same way, but this time another item and everything was okay, so I guess the issue was the product.

Actually that is not true. None of my accounts have a SIM card - they ALL have google voice.
BUT
You have to know how to get things done or you end up with 0/0 limits.
All my 5,000/500,000 accounts have a google voice number.

how can you create a google voice number when they request a phone verification to create a new account? I tried to verify with the voip numbers that I use but it does not work.

Unless you know EXACTLY how to do things Google Voice will be useless to you.

Sadly there are certain items we suggest to never list on a brand new account like yours. ebay flags the listing quickly.

And another sad thing, only our friends across the pond in the UK have access to ebay chat.

Every time I've done it I've had to click "resend code" because the text doesn't show up the first time. After clicking the resend button I'll get both texts in my GV account.

I see this happen once in awhile - but by no means is this the regular occurrence.
Also, noticed a glitch with paypal showing a confirmed number as not confirmed - then when refreshing the page its confirmed again. Anyone else noticed this? been going on over the last few days.

slokor, I understand from you that if I use a voip phone number I will get limited, but google voice is a better alternative. After a litle research I found out that google voice is also a VoIP system...

Never said youd get limited - which refers to the paypal account and not the ebay account. Used various VOIP numbers in the past with paypal and never had any issues.
