Default Withdraw paypal funds to what bank?

Can you / should you withdraw your paypal funds to the bank account used to verify the paypal account?

If no, then to another bank account that is low risk for issues with mismatched names?

If you have a linked account and it accepts mismatched names, why wouldn't you withdraw to it?

Thinking was if/when paypal becomes aware the account is fraudulent, they are required / will go ahead and report this to receiving bank of the funds, putting any funds in that account at risk.

Based on answers I'm thinking that once funds are outside the paypal account they're safe. Ha, I guess if I ran things paypal could force the bank to return the money and the account owner held responsible for the negative balance! Exactly what I don't want to happen.

In creating a handicap for yourself in case of a dumb mistake or uncontrollable event and ebay charges the linked account and this resulted in the bank account freezing/closing with funds.

If paypal had a second bank attached and not set as the default backup payment for ebay fees it might go untouched?

Understanding is that ebay only sees info of bank account when charging fees to it. If funds were withdrawn to second bank account it could be safe from any sort of ebay+paypal flagging.

All speculation, however.

All this 'speculation' is worry over nothing.

Attach a bank. You bank account MUST be in your real name.

If your EB & PP are in your real name no issues. If your EB & PP are stealth, and the bank accepts mismatched name deposits, no issues.

The bank won't usually freeze you unless you're doing something against their policies.

EB & PP can see the real name on the bank account on every transaction, deposit or withdrawl, it comes back as a part of the transaction tracking data provided by the Federal Reserve when they process the debit/credit.

ETY has been known to suspend accounts when there's a withdrawl from an attached bank account and the names don't match, so they do use that info.

Currently EB & PP don't seem to do anything with that info.

^ I've always wondered what kind of activity triggers a bank to freeze an account. I've mostly seen it when personal accounts are doing transaction/$ volumes that should be done under a business account (I would imagine huge changes in account activity would cause this too).

What else would trigger it? Occasionally name mismatches, no?

If EB+PP can already see bank info on every transaction, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense why there are posts about account limits being placed when using PP or bank to pay fees.

Beginning to think this misinformation of 'don't use PP for anything! use a CC to pay your fees!' stems from power struggle issues and stick-it-to-the-man types.

Maybe. If the bank accepts continuous deposits from a source with a different name, it doesn't sound any different than getting a payment from 123 for XYZ goods/service/gift/debt/whatever else.

That's different then what I read on here before. I read that the reason bank names mismatched worked on somewhere as strict as Amazon was because they were not allowed to be given your name that's on the account.
