Accounts with sub-standard performance
 

I've always had a problem with account management. Late shipments (due to poor inventory management or just simply not packing on time), defects (failing to respond to cases), etc.

The few TRS accounts I have all perform significantly better than the standard ones I have. I have a few below standard ones, and the slowdown in sales sucks. It's not like I can just "sell more" to wipe out the bad history, as ebay seems to have hard thresholds that, once exceeded, wipe you out from TRS status.

E.g. no more than 6 late shipments, or you have to wait a full year to become eligible for TRS status.

What do you guys do with these accounts? Do you still work them and accept the slower sales? Do you create new accounts and let your "Below Standard" accounts just sit out for a year before they reset?

I just keep working them, but I do find that they rarely seem to come back from a downgrade.

Have you had any of these accounts long enough to see how they do after 1 years time? (after the derogatory marks have supposedly worn off)

When I created my eb accounts, I actually created 2 accounts for each PayPal. Same user info etc - with the idea being that if I mismanage one, I can hop onto the other. I know PP sharing is frowned upon in these forums, but since some of my substandard accounts are getting (effectively) zero sales, I think I'll try that now. Build up the second account, and see how my first account is doing next May or so.
