Default Returns address

How do you go around the buyer who goes all the way to the return label? I mean how do you get the item back in this situation?

If a buyer wants to return the item to you, you can either:

a) Give them the returns address and tell them you'll reimburse them for postage.

b) Order a courier service on their behalf, email them the pdf/label to attach to the item in question.

Depends on the value of the item i guess. Parcels2Go can collect and return to you but obviously this would cost

I meant if buyer opens a case to return.

I don't know how it works for you but on my accounts once that happens the buyer can immediatly see the seller's address on file and if they really want to you have to give in into giving them the ebay return label, which has the account address.

email them a return label with the info that you want on it using a different service than eBay or Paypal itself.

That way you open yourself to the buyer escalating the case at anytime and you losing the item and the money. If the address does not exist, the buyer gets to keep the money and the item.

Add a valid return address to your account without deleting your registration address. Then you can use eBay's return system.

Personally though I do what Saijin said. On USA eBay at least, we're given the option to upload a return tracking number for a label that was either included with the original shipment or emailed directly to the buyer. That way there's proof of the external return within eBay's system so the buyer can't escalate.

If the buyer already obtained the return label from EB and it has an address that you can't access or that wasn't yours the return package is probably a complete loss, it will show 'delivered' and EB will automatically refund and close the matter out.

If this is a theoretical question in anticipation of a problem, then follow the various advice above, of which emailing the return label is the best option.

Nice eBay USA. Anyone tried this in the UK?

I don't see why these options would be any different in the UK.

How do you give the customer a tracking number,
Tracking number is entered in the window on Ebay for the buyer.
Ebay will see the treсking number that I entered for the buyer. What will happen? What should I do?
My stealth Ebey and Paypal account was made to the UK. I send a parcel from Russia.

Make sure you tick RMA option on returns as this gives you the ability to dispatch your own returns label/bag, you can either send them a prepaid returns bag or email them a returns label with the address you want the return to come to.

Also remember to add tracking number to the return case.

But make sure you check the RMA option in reruns setting otherwise eBay just auto approve returns now.

I’ve always done it this way with no issues.

Paypal and Ebay will see the tracking number for the parcel.
Tracking number show them that the shipment is made from another country. Register Paypal & Ebay account in the UK

Well in that case what’s the value of the item if it’s below £15 I would just cut losses and forget the return and issue a refund.
