Should I change my ebay address to my old/real address so I can receive returns?
Hi, My ebay & paypal accounts were permanently banned in January 2015. I created a new stealth ebay & paypal accounts in June 2015 using a new ip address, my spouse's name, a new bank/debit card information, and an "arbitrary" address. The address is a valid address (that I picked randomly), but I don't have access to. I've been using the new ebay account to sell not-too-expensive ($10 - $30 per item) items until now. These are items that I'm willing to loose in a case of a return, although no buyer has requested a return so far. I just upgraded my ebay account to a basic store recently and have a few more-expensive items to sell ($500 - $1000 per item). My main concern is with the "arbitrary" address of the account. If for some reason, a buyer wants to return the item, I'd loose $500 - $1000 as I don't have access to the return address. Should I change my ebay account (and/or paypal account) address to my real address so I can receive returns (this is the address that is associated with the banned account from 1.5 years ago)? Any other inputs would be appreciated. Thanks.
I just want to add another option here (OPTION 2):
The banned ebay & paypal accounts were created sometime in 2000. Between 2000 to 2008, they used a different address (say ADDRESS1). I moved to a different address (say ADDRESS2) in 2008, which is only 10 minutes away, still in the same city and same zip code. Between 2008 to Jan 2015 (the time the accounts were banned), the accounts use ADDRESS2. I still have access to ADDRESS1 as my family lives there now. Should I change my new/stealth ebay acct address to ADDRESS1 instead? Will ebay/paypal be able to link my old old address to my banned accounts? Thanks.
