Hey guys! So I’m still a tiny bit confused after a few posts I’ve read.
I have a MacBook with a brand new user I created just for my eBay Stealth.
My question is I’ve had maybe 2-3 eBay accounts banned on this WiFi I have at home so I’m afraid that by restarting the modem the new IP address it gives me may have been used on the past eBay accounts that have been banned.
So my question is, is it safe to use eBay Stealth on my WiFi here even though I’ve had past ebays banned on the WiFi and on this laptop?
I have a new user account and everything.
And with logging IPs why do would I need to track them? Why’s it bad to use the same IP if it’s a clean eBay account? Wouldn’t it look suspicious if they’re different IPs every time?
Thanks everyone so much, this site has helped me a lot.

| Usually not a big deal, IPs get recycled and reused (unless yours is static). Just make sure to keep log/keep track going forward from here. Quote: |
And with logging IPs why do would I need to track them?
| To avoid exactly what you described in your previous question. Getting linked to an old suspended account. Quote: |
Wouldn’t it look suspicious if they’re different IPs every time?
| Nope. I think most people have dynamic IPs. So it changes every time.

Thanks! And how would I know if the new ip it gives me has been used in the past with the banned accounts? That’s my worry, because I won’t know if that ip was used in the past on the banned accounts.

Going forward, just make sure you're keeping track of things.
IP alone doesn't always link accounts, especially when it was an IP from the past. Other factors will link you, i.e. using account same user account, similar details etc.

Oh okay. Last question I promise!
Should I just go the safer route and buy a USB WiFi device?

| You're better off asking all the questions you need to, than making a mistake later. So ask away! There's bound to be someone else who comes along, reads the answers, and finds it of some use... Quote: |

| Personally, I'd recommend it.

You can also get a MiFi - that doesn't use your home wifi. It lets you connect to it using the Wifi on your laptop.
Hope that made sense. When you buy such device, your home internet is out of the equation. It's not of any concern no more.

I'm certain you can find them on Amazon.

Okay no problem!
So they do sell dongles at Walmart, and it looks like it does connect to a WiFi. I’m assuming it connects to mine? But that’s okay since it’s a separate device correct? Thanks!!!!!

Okay, I’m at Walmart right now about to buy one. It says it connects to my WiFi router at home. I’m really confused on how it will help because it’s just using my WiFi at home, but I’ll see!

Some USB dongles plug into your wifi router, and then every device connected to router can use the mobile data service.

Im still here because I’ve been deciding if I need to get it or not. It’s a netgear wireless AC adapter, AC600 Dual Band. I just wanna make sure if I plug it into my computer an it uses the WiFi from my
House I’ll be OK.

They'll fire over login details shortly afterwards. See their support section, lots and lots of guides/tutorials.
Once you've set it up, then you can login to your ebay/paypal, should be fine. I'd advise you just browse first few days, don't buy, sell, withdraw, or do anything that can potentially be construed as risky activity.
