Competitor * IV had enough*
 

I sell on eBay and for over a year I have had this guy beating me on price on everything I sell. He sells Bootleg versions of everything I sell. There is no way I can sell that low. ( He is very close to the source) every item I list he beats me on price. I'm a nice person but I have a family to think of. I need him gone. IV contacted various Vero members and let them know and also purchased various items from him on my various accounts. I intend to leave bad feedback on all. Is there anything else I can do to have him gone?????? A very cun*ish move but I have no choice.

You aren't going to take him out by leaving bad feedback. He probably has a family to feed also. If you can't compete, find something else to sell. This forum isn't meant to discuss fraudulently sabotaging your competitors. You're possibly competing against another seller here.

Getting him out and then what? A new seller will pop out of nowhere! Why not get close to the source as well and offer lower prices? What comes around goes around buddy!!

one answer: Dont be an A-hole...
if someone beats you on price, stop bitching and find another goods or start to offering services that he cannot.
for example i have tons of competitors in US that beat my price. but i still sell my goods cause I offer worldwide shipping, discounts and so on.
nothing personal bro, but to be honest i hate people like you that are trying to sell their stuff by destroying shops of other fair sellers

I may sound rude, but the problem is that i have also dealt with people who were trying to warn me that they will destroy my business and etc. I finally fed up with that i reported them. so i have some sort of allergy to people like those =/

Lowest price is not always the solution here.

Yes, I know this is annoying, but you are not only doing yourself a disfavour, but also contributing to destroying the market you are in.

$100 becomes $90, 80, 70, 20, 10, etc.... then what?

There are other ways to compete

I never understand why some sellers are obsessed about offering the lowest price.

Not all buyers are the same. And we live in a worldwide market place.

Anything will sell if there is at least one person in the world willing to buy.

That's business.

Well it's rather normal actually. HUman reaction and thoughts until they can see the other way of doing things.

Those who can figure out a different way are the ones who will thrive.

Price is not everything.

There are sellers on here who do very well selling at high prices.

Offer something the competition doesn't if you are unable to compete on price. There are literally millions of products. Think. Get creative. It's not rocket science.

Need some new product ideas? How about you search up items from past listings and see what sold and how much. Use tools like Terapeak or Algopix. You can also simply use the search functions in eBay and take a look at what sold and how much.

There are all kinds of great product sources out there. China? Alibaba? You name it! Do your homework when it comes to suppliers.

Research does take some time. It's work, and you should put some effort into it and it will pay off.

Getting upset at your competition will accomplish nothing. In fact, it will create more issues than what it solves.

Lower price does not equal phake!

We are nose to nose with other competitors, sometimes only making $1 an item. However, now we found out there is an "unadvertised" discount (They made mistake and wrote it on invoice). It was if we spend over 250k a quarter we get additional discount. Just waiting on upper management to get discount. So never ever assume anything!

Its the Toys, Marvel, game of thrones and star wars kinda stuff.

Instead of beating him on price, stick to your price and offer a better service, i.e. faster shipping time than competitors, worldwide shipping etc.

That way customers will choose you over the competitor, and you don't need to keep dropping prices.

I dont think buyers go for the cheapest seller any more, as they've come to realise often times those sellers ship items with a 30 day+ waiting time.

Lol at offering a better service. You need to be able to offer the best price, atleast initially until you're near the top of the search results. Ebay/Amazon is 90% about price, most buyers don't care too much about service as they know they can just complain to ebay/paypal if they're not happy with something.

Not true. Faster shipping also plays a significant role in getting higher up the best match list. Try it. ;)

That's just standard for pretty much anything on ebay now. If we're talking about a competitor from a different country then ofcourse that's different but OP didn't mention that so I doubt that's the case.

Mind you, my prices are never the lowest , but I'm able to beat out most teeth scraping prices on eBay and Amazon.

But hey, you do what works for you.

Just do not block other's from doing something different that could potentially earn them a living, mkay?

We can only suggest people and share what worked for us, but making them do exactly what we do, may not work for them
