reinstated back on ebay, what to do now?
 

6 months ago, my ebay account got suspended after selling Vero items.
so my paypal account got limited too and just recently the 180 days has passed and i've just paid the balance fees on ebay.

just got an email saying that im reinstated on ebay.
although my account is back, my paypal isnt.

my ratings on that account is a lot higher then on my stealth account but without paypal, i'll barely see any sales.

what are my options?

You could use a new paypal, it may last a while but will eventually get limited. You could ride it out and try not to keep a high balance left in the paypal, switch out the paypal every time it gets limited. If the ebay is really worth it.

Some people claim you can attach a new PayPal and it will work fine, others say it will get banned. If not today, maybe tomorrow, etc.

The point is: Your mileage may vary (YMMV) for this type of situation.

I have a question, are you saying you were able to pay the ebay balance directly from your paypal account after the 180 days? Usually you can only wd funds and not send during a limitation.

nah i withdrew it back to my bank account and paid it via CC

I get mixed opinions on the pp getting limited again. I do not think it is 100% truly gonna happen. But you should def take the advice given above and treat it as it could happen at any time because it is highly possible

yea, wouldnt want to risk it.

payflow is one of ebay's payment gateway options.


they're owned by paypal though.
would i sitll be able to create an account with them to receive payments? or will i have to use authorize.net?

i know they're not free so i'd like to avoid them if possible.

Nobody here has actually tried, but common sense says it would not be a good idea to try using Payflow if you're already kicked off Paypal. They are both financial companies so I'm sure they're going to cross-check that kind of thing to protect themselves.

Auth.net isn't all that bad but your sales will drop by 90% regardless when you don't accept PP.

If you do try to attach another paypal, make sure you clear it out daily.
Do NOT leave funds in there.

^^I second that. Setup "auto-sweep" in the new PP (if PP still allows that - pretty sure they do) so your balance is automatically transferred at the end of each day. It doesn't sound like you're going to be reckless and try attaching a new PP, but it's a good way to get your money locked up for 6 months if you do.

I wouldn't do anything with an account like that.

Even if you withdraw daily but say you have lots of $ inside it daily then one day, they suspend you again with that money... then what?

If you like the thrill and gamble, go for it. I for one like my peace of mind and I don't mind being a little inconvenienced to keep that and the consistency of my business

What kind of suspension you've got? Mc011?
Did they ask you for any invoices or documents?
I have been suspended for selling vero too, but my PayPal is still working good

nah it aint nothin like that.

i was just wondering what are my best options after this.

knowing full well that most of people that shop on ebays prefers paying with paypal, i just wasnt sure if i should keep listing stuff on this account if it cant accept it as a payment anymore.

Well I added a new paypal to a high limit account and have made $20K profit and haven't been limited yet, so it was worth it to me.

But you're constantly being limited so I'll take that with a grain of salt. :rolleyes:

I did it myself and had $2500 held for 6 months.

Try your luck and give PayPal a call. Be polite and explain what happend with your eBay account recently. Who knows, you might get it back.

Agree on taking the shot to try and get PP reinstated - as phaz0rz said, not having paypal is going to cause quite a few losses - adding a new pp may work for awhile but it's not an ideal longterm situation.

Learn stealth and make new accounts to spread sales

i highly doubt they paypal would reinstate me since i've broken their T.O.A.
i had emailed them a few months back and they told that i'd stay permanently limited.

probably just gonna abandon the personal account and just concentrate on the stealth account.

any advice for category blocks?
