Re: eBay sues Amazon over alleged poaching of sellers
Nice share
When I opened the link I thought it was something to do with Amazon/eBay dropshipping. Wasn't expecting them to have gone the route of obtaining buyer email addresses in such a manner.
Re: eBay sues Amazon over alleged poaching of sellers
This is typical in lawsuitville of Silicon Valley.
The lawsuit comes two weeks after eBay sent a cease-and-desist letter to Amazon, saying it had uncovered evidence, going back years, of the alleged poaching effort.
It will be interesting to see how this complaint plays out and what "evidence" is presented, that's even if it makes it into a courtroom at all.
Usually, a suit is filed first, then the $1000 /hr lawyers from both sides start talking about it.... They talk and talk, then likely to come to some sort of "agreement" to make it all go away.
The case was filed in Santa Clara County, CA (eBay's home base) on October 17th.
Re: eBay sues Amazon over alleged poaching of sellers
they poach the sellers then what? have Amazon ban them, and go through heeps of hurdles to come back on? i.e., requiring a tax id upon opening an account, photo id, invoices right from the get go? lol, no thx. always need ebay as a backup plan.
