Would completing 25 sales with the same person remove the 21 day hold by eBay?
 

Hi -

Now the new owner of a stealth account -

A friend made a suggestion that I list 25 items on buy it now and they buy all of them one by one? Would this lift the limit since I would surpass 25 sales?

Doubtful.
Stop looking for shortcuts and do things properly. Anything else will just piss them off and get your account in trouble.
By the way the minimum requirements to remove the 21 days hold:
1. 90 days from first sale.
2. 25 successful transactions.
3. At least $250 in total sales.
And those are MINIMUM requirements only - no guarantee the holds will be removed after those are met.

25 sales and at least $250 in sales. 90 days not so much. Do the 25 and 250, ship fast, process any returns or refunds even faster and the holds will go away faster. IMHO.

There are no shortcuts. Listen to people here, especially Slokor who have sold countless accounts and know what it really takes to get the holds removed. They will fall off sooner than you think. If can happen so long as you play by the rules, add tracking, ship fast, and make more sales.

I know what’s in the official line is but I can’t remember the last time I waited 90 days for the holds to stop. But, I am in the US and noticed OP was in U.K. Don’t know if the 90 days are a strict thing in U.K. I have had holds stop after just a few weeks on many accounts.

Honestly, it just depends when eBay feels like helping. I currently have 61 sales, $3210, and 130 days since first sale. Called them and they said it depends on the department(whatever that means).

Just build your business model around not having your cash for 21 days. Ship fast, and you get your cash 1-2 days after tracking shows delivered.

For US, it use to be 25 ebay sales, $250 in ebay sales, and 90 days after your first sale. Then sometime after that your 21 day holds should be gone. But over the last few months, it seems some payments go through without a hold and even after a hold is removed, it can be placed back on the account at anytime.

So what Slokor first said is correct as that is how it is suppose to be and how it is stated by eBay. However, due to even more randomness by eBay (who says when the 21 day hold is given or not given, lifted or not lifted) who knows WTF to think about when funds are available.

But the only thing I can add for the OP is that practicing stealth properly takes patience and there is no good shortcut to take. If you sell 25 items to the same guy it is going to look fishy and possibly throw up some red flags. Some of those payments would probably come through without a hold and others would have a hold. I am not sure why though.
